Chapter 6

The next morning I got up at 8am sharp. I hurried and took a shower and got dressed. Willow got up right after I was done doing my hair and makeup. And I got her dressed and ready for the day. I packed her a bag with her clothes pull-ups snacks, her tablet and her Minnie Mouse to take to Debbies house. After that was done we went to the kitchen and I started making breakfast for everyone
I made bacon and waffles and cereal for Willow and eggs too. Sarah and Mark woke up from smelling the delicious food. They came out of the room and into the kitchen.
"Becky you made us breakfast?" Sarah asked
"Sure did. Thought I would be nice and do something nice for you guys"I said
"Wow that is nice of you thanks Beck"Mark said as he sat down at the table next to Willow. Sarah made the coffee and then poured me, her and Mark each a cup. I gave Willow a glass of milk to go with her cereal. I handed everyone a plate of food and then we all sat down and ate breakfast. At 9am the doorbell rang. I went to answer it and it was Debbie.
"Hey Becky!" We hugged. Willow saw Debbie ran over to her and gave her a huge hug.
"Debbie I missed you"said Willow.
"Awe I miss you too Willow. Are you ready to go and have some fun? Marvin is in the car waiting for us. We are going to take you and my grandson to the park" said Debbie
"Yay!" Squealed willow clapping her hands happily.
"Well you just made her day Deb" I Said with a smile. I handed her Willows bag.
"Good we will have a good time" Said Deb "no worries Becky. She's in good hands"
"Oh I know that you guys are so awesome with her" I said. I gave Debbie a hug. "I'll see you guys later. Give me a call if you have any questions or anything"
"Okay will do. Call me when you are on your way back home to pick willow up" said Debbie
"I will Bye Debbie" I Said
I bended down and hugged willow tightly I kissed her cheek.
"You be good for Deb and Marvin and I will see you later okay" I said to willow. Willow nodded and hugged me again.
"I will mommy. I love you" I said willow
"I love you too babygirl" I Said. "Bye be good"
"Bye" Deb took Willows hand and they walked back down the porch steps and over to Marvin's car. He waved at me and honked the horn and I waved back. Willow couldn't contain her excitement as she got in the car and Debbie hooked her into another booster seat that she had in their car. I watched as she got in next to her husband they both waved at me and then backed out of the driveway and drove away.
I went back inside Sarah's house and helped her to the cleanup. Then after Sarah was done getting dressed and doing her hair we got in Sarah's car and drove to Walmart. We walked inside and saw Megan, Erin and Bethany waiting for us at the subway that was by the doors.
I ran over to them with Sarah and gave Erin and Bethany a hug.
"It's great to see you guys and thanks for being able to come with us" I said
"Your welcome Becky" said Erin. "Joey is watching my kiddos"
"And my twins are being watched by their grandma" said Bethany
"Awesome" I Said. "I haven't had a girls day in a long time so this is going to be fun"
"Me either sis" said Megan "I was so excited to go today that I couldn't even sleep last night"
"Me too megs" said Erin
"Glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep either" said Bethany.
"Well let's get going. What time is Becky's appointment"said Sarah to Erin.
"1pm so we best get going"said Erin"and we are all getting our hair and nails done free of charge"
"really that's awesome!!" Said Megan
"Great I could use a manicure" said Bethany
"Then lets go" I said to everyone and we all left Walmart got into Sarah's car and she drove us to Elmira ny to the hair salon. When we arrived at Hair Hut hair and nails salon and studio Sarah parked her car and we all walked inside the building. One side of the building was where women got their hair done and on the other side was nails, makeup and beauty.
"Wow now this place is nice" I said looking around. A store manager walked over to us. She was a very tall thin lady appeared to be in her late 30s.
"Hello ladies how may I help you" she said. Her name tag on her uniform said Vanessa.
"Hello Vanessa my name is Becky. My friend Erin called you guys yesterday and told you about me getting my hair and nails done here" I said. "my friends and my sister would like to get their hairs and nails done also"
"Oh Erin that's right. Veronica is here. She is my sister. She told all about you guys, very nice to meet you Becky" said Vanessa shaking my hand.
"I'm Megan her sister" said Megan to Vanessa as they shook hands next. Vanessa shook hands with. Bethany who introduced herself and Sarah.
Erin went off to find Veronica who was in the back room. A few minutes later they returned.
"Becky and friends this is Veronica. She is going to do your hair and nails Becky. Leave everything to her Becks she is a professional" said Erin
"It's very nice to meet you becky and your sister and friends. Welcome to Hair Hut" Said Veronica after she shook all of our hands. She smiled at me.
"Let's go get you set up and then my other friends with take your sister and your friends to get their hair and nails done" said Veronica.
"Okay. Have fun guys I can't wait to see what we all look like when we are done"I said.
"Okay maybe afterwards we can all go for lunch at the mall and then shop" said Megan
"sounds like a plan to me" said Bethany.
"Can I get my hair and nails done next to my sister?" Asked Megan to Veronica.
"Sure. I dont see why not. Janet can you come here please?"
A heavier set women who had her hair and makeup done that looked absolutely stunning smiled and walked over.
"Hi V. What can i help you with"Said Janet
"This is Megan and Becky. I'm going to be doing Beckys hair and makeup. Can you do her sister next to us?"said Veronica
"Sure of course come right this way Megan" said Janet. And they walked away. Then me and Veronica walked over to hair and wet station. I sat down in the chair and Veronica started washing my hair. After my hair was washed, cleaned and done being dried I sat down in another chair and veronica started to style it for me.
While she started styling my hair we talked
"So Becky miss Erin tells me you have a busy weekend starting tomorrow" said Veronica
"I sure do. My bf Matt is taking me to Niagara Falls" I told her happily. "He's the one that gave me this coupon and told me to use it today and take my friends with me when I got my hair and nails done"
"Wow well isn't that very nice of him. Sounds like a terrific boyfriend" said Veronica.
"He sure is" I sighed with a love sick grin on my face. Janet who was listening in while curling Megan's hair looked at us.
"Is that the same Matt that came in here about a week ago telling us that he was taking his girlfriend to Niagara Falls when she came to visit because he was-ouch!" Said Janet But Veronica cut her off by thumping her on the head with a hairbrush
"Janet keep quiet. You say much more and I'm going to duck tape your mouth shut"said Veronica. I looked in the mirror and saw Veronica giving her a glare.
"Well that was probably a different matt" said Megan to me
I shrugged my shoulders although I had a different idea. 'did Matt come here before and tells these ladies his plans? Why would he do that? I thought.
"Was this guy heavy set?" I asked
"Yeah he was" said Janet
"Janet!" hissed Veronica
"Sorry. Um actually I don't really remember. We see so many people come in here it's hard to remember who is who"said Janet. I looked at her in the mirror and she mouthed sorry to Veronica. All Veronica did was shake her head at Janet.
I looked at Megan and she looked at me.
"Probably a different Matt?" I asked her
"Probably who knows Becky and who cares. Just enjoy yourself"said Megan she leaned back some in her hair while Janet curled her hair. Veronica started curling mine and I also relaxed. 'Megan is right. Probably was some other Matt but who cares. My Matt was amazing letting me get all primped and pampered. It made me feel like a princess.' I smiled to myself enjoying every bit of this day as I could.i was getting my hair and nails done with my sister and friends and then later we were going to lunch and then I was going to shop for the perfect outfit to wear for tomorrow and for the weekend. Today was a good day and nothing was going to ruin it.
