Down in a deep part of the forest that surrounded the Rukon district of Soul Society, Ulquiorra walked silently between the trees. His usual expressionless face was undisturbed by the surrounding darkness. After all, hollows did prefer darkness.

Ulquiorra then stopped in his tracks. "You can come out now....Nnoitorra."

Nnoitorra's tall form walked out from behind a tree and the Espada grinned. "Did you see how those villagers squealed? Killing them was an even bigger breeze then killing that village of arrancar. Oh I can't wait to go to Academy City. More to kill...only I'll be able to kill em twice, because I'll destroy their souls as well....hehehehe...HAHAHAHA!!"

"Don't get too cocky." said Ulquiorra. "Our mission isn't to go there to kill. We are to observe the Railgun, and regroup with the remnants of Hydra Head."

"You've got to be kidding me.." said Nnoitorra. "Don't tell me we're going to be working with those failures!? Okay, Diablo might be alright...but the others completely failed during that Dravis incident I hear...and against the weakling fairies no doubt."

"Diablo broke away from Hydra Head 6 months ago." said Ulquiorra. "My guess, is he felt the same way you did...especially since his loyalty was soley to Black Whisper and no one else."

"Great...just great." muttered Nnoitorra. "Yammy's stuck in sand still, Grimmjow's defected according to Asgawrath for reasons he himself doesn't know, and I was chopped up by a Poison Dragon who I really wanna find and kill now...and to top it off...the strongest demon in 3 dimensions isn't interested in playing with us anymore....great.."

"We do not need Diablo for Asgawrath's plan to succeed." said Ulquiorra. "All we need to do is ensure that Railgun submits to the darkness, that she loses all hope...and despairs forever...then Asgawrath can retrieve her...and create the perfect multiverse...

"What the hell is this lance of Gungnir supposed to do anyways?" said Nnoitorra. "All I know is that it helped that Othinus girl's powers always succeed 100% of the time...but Asgawrath wouldn't need that."

"There are other capabilities to the magic device." said Ulquiorra. "It all depends on who wields it at the time. For example..."

Ulquiorra wave his hand and large spear with a strange flower like structure near the intricate blade and another flowerish structure near the bottom, appeared in a flash of green energy. "Asgawrath gave me a lesser replica of the lance, in my hands, I am able to do things quite differently from Othinus or Leivinia Birdway."

Ulquiorra touched the tip of the lance to a tree, immediately the tree turned gray, it's leaves fell off, and a grimacing horned skull mask with three eyeholes appeared near the top of the trunk while a hollow hole appeared the roots. The Hollow tree gave out an etherial cry as it's roots tore out of the ground and the creature started shifting around.

"It appears, that the Lance of Gungnir gives me the ability to restructure the cells of living and dead things." said Ulquiorra. "all of them turn into hollows."

"Hmmm." Nnoitorra started to grin again. "I wonder what it would do in my hands..."

"Asgawrath gave me no permission for others to use it." said Ulquiorra. "He said only I alone am allowed to use this."

"Hmph..always the loyal one." said Nnoitorra. "But why the heck do we need Railgun in order to create the true lance? I understand the replica worked just fine for Othinus."

"The original lance doesn't just hold power over the structure of the universe..but the entire multiverse." said Ulquiorra. "Asgawrath is a transdimensional being who exists on multiple planes. He has gone to many other dimensions, some of which resemble Railgun's world....a world where the 6th esper is one that was killed by Death Reach 20 years ago in the Academy City we recognize..a world where heroes with unnantural powers exist....a world where the DNA of extraterrestials can all be compressed into one device...and many more....even alternate versions of Fiore and Soul Society exist...though Soul Society dimensions exist on such a high plane that none of us could hope to travel to them...."
