I looked up and saw Hyunjin looking at me proudly. I smiled shyly.
Y/n: thanks...I guess
He nodded then smiled.
Mom: I made some breakfast for you in the kitchen.
Y/n: ok thanks mom!!
Hyunjin and I walked into the kitchen and gobbled down our food. We finally finished and headed out.
Y/n: see ya after school, mom!!!
Mom: bye sweetheart.
Me and Hyunjin walked out then to school. We arrived eventually and everyone stared at us. Probably because I was with their beloved "oppas". I can just hear their voices saying that in my head. "Y/n stay away from my oppar." He's mine!! Ewww it's disgusting to think about. We walked to class and sat down.
Minho: y/n?
We all looked at Minho.
Y/n: yeah?
Minho: my dad-our dad, says he wants to see you and....mom.
I was taken aback. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and Minho saw.
Minho: he says you don't have to if you don't want to....
Y/n: oh right...I'll see with mom now.
I got my phone out and texted my mom. We waited for her to reply. She finally did after ages of awkward silences.
Y/n: she said yeah.
Minho: ok...when do you wanna come?
Y/n: she said preferably tomorrow....if that's ok with him.
Minho nodded. I take that as a yes. The teacher came in and we started the lesson.

~time skip~

Teacher: class dismissed for lunch.
We all packed our bags and ran out. Of course, me and Felix were first in the lunch line. We got our food and sat down at an empty table.
Y/n: I don't think this table is big enough for all of us.
Felix: i agree.
Y/n: I'll just take this table next to us.
I got up and went the the table.
Y/n: excuse me...are you usi- oh Josh.
He looked at me with the coldest expression I'd ever seen...especially from him.
Joshua: I'm not using this table.
He got up and left. I furrowed my eyebrows. What's up with him. My best friend just gave me the cold shoulder. I just stood there shocked and to be honest a little sad. No I'm very sad. Whilst I was spacing out someone approached me.
Felix: y/n? Are you ok?
I just spaced out.
Felix: hello? Y/n?
He waved his hand in front of my face and I snapped back to reality.
Y/n: he gave me the hard shoulder....
Felix: who? The table?
I looked up at him in disbelief.
Y/n: really, Felix? Like a table can do that...
Felix: true...but seriously, who gave you the hard shoulder?
I sighed.
Y/n: Joshua.
Felix furrowed his eyebrows.
Felix: Joshua?
I nodded.
Y/n: yeah...he spoke to me in a cold tone and then just left straight after.
Felix: oh...that's not like him at all.
Y/n: do you think I've done something wrong?
Felix shook his head.
Felix: I don't think so..
Y/n: hmm...c'mon help me move this table now.
He nodded and we pulled the table and joined to our original one.
Hyunjin: what took you guys so long?
Felix: Josh-
Y/n: nothing!
Felix looked at me and I gave the 'don't tell them!!!' look at him.
Felix: oh right...yeah nothing.
I mentally facepalmed myself. They're gonna be so suspicious now.
Hyunjin: ok?
I smiled, obviously it was fake, and sat down.
Y/n: sit down food buddy!
Felix sat down immediately and we started to eat. Yum! Food sure is tasty. We all finished and walked to our class. As we were walking past the lockers someone stopped us. I looked up and rolled my eyes.
Y/n: what do you wa-
Nancy: what's wrong with Joshua?
I looked at her confused.
Y/n: what do you mean?
Nancy: I went into the classroom about 10 minutes ago and saw Joshua sitting there....
Y/n:.......
Nancy: his eyes were red...I think he was crying. I'm just telling this to you because remember he's also your best friend and he needs attention too.
She walked away and I thought about her words. Of course...I've been ignoring josh for quite a while now. I feel bad....I'll go see him.
Y/n: I'm gonna go see Joshua, could you please wait outside the classroom whilst I talk to him?
They all nodded and we walked to the classroom. They waited outside as I slowly walked into the class. I looked around the classroom and saw Joshua sitting in his seat....more like resting his head on the table. I slowly walked up to him and sat in the seat beside him. I carefully piled his cheek and he looked up. Nancy was right...his eyes are puffy and red.
Joshua: what do you want?
Y/n: what's with you?
Joshua: what's with me?et me regraded that...what's with you?!
I gotta be honest...his words did hurt me but I tried to be subtle about it.
Y/n: why are your eyes red and puffy?
I know why they are like that...I just want him to say it himself.
Joshua: should I tell you?
I nodded.
Joshua: it's............none of your business.
I looked down.
Y/n: oh....right
My voice cracked but I held it together.
Y/n: well....if you need to talk...I'm here.
Joshua: I already have someone to talk to....
He looked behind me, so I did the same and saw Nancy.
Y/n: Nancy? What are you do-
Joshua: she's my girlfriend now.
My eyes fell out their sockets.
Y/n: what?!
Nancy: you heard him....we're dating!
Y/n: ahem...right.
What had gotten into him?!?! Why is he so weird lately?
Joshua: you never recognised my love for you....
Y/n: right...
I looked up and widened my eyes.
Y/n: your love for me?!
It took me a few minutes to process what he had said.
Joshua: yes...you were always going off with other boys and failed to notice how much I loved you. But I didn't say anything because I knew you'd never like me back...
Oh my god....my best friend liked me....
Nancy: he loved you so much he let you go....
I was speechless.
Y/n: I-I love you
