When the morning sun breaks through the small slit in the curtains it doesn't really faze the person sitting up in bed finishing his paper for his economics class. He's already had his hour of sleep and it's never a shock to him when he is awake to greet the sun as it rises. He quickly saves it to his computer, knowing he has a class in an hour so he needs to get ready.
He slowly makes his way to his closet and picks out a simple black long sleeved T-shirt and tight black jeans and goes to shower. He shuts and locks the door so his roommate doesn't accidentally walk in on him. After stripping himself of his clothes he purposely avoids contact with the mirror, he can't look at himself without having a breakdown. His shower is always a blistering heat in hopes of washing away the pain but it never works.
He still tries. It's the same thing everyday, the ritual never really changes except for an occasional switch up in his schedule.
When he's done dressing he goes to the kitchen where he knows his dear friend and  'mom'will be waiting with a breakfast that he won't be able to finish. He's always breaking their heart.
"Sicheng my babe you look amazing today, did you sleep well?" His heart aches as he wants to answer with a resounding yes to avoid the pained look he always receives but he know his lies are paper thin as the evidence is written on his face. His dark circles and slightly sunken cheeks give away the fact that he doesn't sleep or eat.
"I slept well Tae, thanks for asking." And there it was the pain in his face as he watches his friend lie as he withers away right before his eyes.
"Sicheng, I know I say this everyday but you need to eat and sleep. Those are two basic needs that you are depriving your self of and it hurts me. Please try and eat a little more today for me? Pwease?" Taeyong does his best to be cute, does his best to care for the weak boy he calls friend and most importantly brother.
They have been roommates for a year now and in that time Taeyong has grown a deep affection for Sicheng even if the boy doesn't fully believe him. Sicheng's trust issues are a big hurdle for anyone to get over. It took six months before he would associate with Taeyong at all. They would merely pass each other and say hi at most, but Taeyong tried everyday to break his walls and they have crumbled enough now where they can at least have a short conversation. He has never indulged anything from his past or anything personal for that matter but he will listen to Taeyong and even talk back.
Taeyong knows the depth of his pain must go deeper than he can imagine as he's heard the occasional night terrors that Sicheng has gone through when he does get any length of sleep. He just wants to help this boy feel loved, he wants him to understand that he would do absolutely anything for him because he loves him that much.
"Ok hyung I'll try." He sighs as he looks down at his plate. Simple scrambled eggs and fruit cut up in small pieces, because Tae knows he has a hard time chewing and swallowing without gagging.
After watching him eat two bites of his egg and four pieces of strawberry he bounces excitedly on his chair.
"Good job my little Sicheng, you had two more bites than yesterday, I am so proud of you." Sicheng actually chuckles at Taeyong's antics as he dances around the kitchen in celebration.
"Yeah yeah, I'm going to my classes I'll see you later before I go to work. Thank you for breakfast, it was delicious." Taeyong smiles and sets off cleaning the table up while Sicheng leaves the apartment.

His college classes are actually his favorite time of the day, it's the only time when his mind is completely occupied and focused. He listens intently to his lectures and takes meticulous notes. He goes to the cafeteria and manages to eat a dry piece of toast, not before sending a picture to Taeyong to show him he's actually trying. Of course he sends a smiley face to show his happiness, even though deep down he knows it's not enough he doesn't want to discourage any progress.
When his day is done he goes home to shower once more before his job at Neo culture.
He wears the uniform which consists of a long sleeved black button up with black slacks. He's thankful for the sleeves even though most roll the cuffs in the summer months, he'd rather sweat it out.

"Hello Jade." He greets his coworker, the girl who started at the same time as he did. He thinks she is the epitome of beauty with her fire red hair, fair skin and the darkest shade of green eyes he's ever seen. Had it not been for the fact that he has no confidence and the biggest factor of preferring men he would have asked her out a long time ago.
"Hi Winwin, how are you tonight? You kind of look like shit if I'm being honest." He scoffs.
"I know, I don't really feel that good tonight so you might have to pick up my slack." She smiles her kind smile and pats his shoulder not noticing the wince that follows.
"Of course Winny." He chuckles and mumbles as he walks away.
"Always calling me a different name, and I don't even know what they mean." He laughs to himself as he ties on his apron.
Only an hour in to his work and he's sweating profusely while have mini dizzy spells to top it off. He's not going to leave his shift any time soon so he's going to fight it as much as possible, at least until Jade notices and makes him go take a break.
"Where is the break room?" He asks shakily.
"In all the time working here you've never taken a break?" She asks shocked.
"No I'm here to work." He answers simply, on the brink of passing out.
"Go to the back, go past the stairs and it's the first door on the left. There is a couch you can lie down on. Are you sure you don't need me to help? You don't look so good." He glances at the bar seeing the waiting crowd of people and shakes his head.
"No you have customers, I'll be ok."
As much as it pains him to walk away from the job, he knows he's going down any minute so he must go now.
He makes his way through the crowd of sweaty bodies, music pounding in his already hurting head and thanks who ever is watching over him that he found the hallway. Now if only he could remember where from here...
