So I was just looking at some of my old works and saw that I was intending to have a part 2 to the epilogue so here it is over a year later...
Also thank you to my lovely readers. 💚

After around three years the couples are still dysfunctionally strong. Of course there are ups and downs, dealing with past trauma and even life as they move forward but they have each other. They were all alone in one way or another, all wanting/needing love. All craving friendship and support. They found it in each other. The eight people were thrown together at the right place and time. A perfect storm of fate that led them to find one another or reconnecting.

Mark finally got moved to a desk job and he was perfectly fine with that. He didn't have a hero complex, didn't need to constantly put his life in danger and of course the lives of his friends and family. Haechan has become best friends with all of the group, just as he said he would and even took a job at the club as a bartender part time. Not that he necessarily needs the money, he just needs to get out and also see his friends more.

Taeyong helped Ten get into school so he has been working on getting his business degree for two years. He is a little behind Taeyong but that's ok. He is working as a part time dance instructor after school. It's hard sometimes to make time for each other but they manage.
Taeyong is a recent graduate who is working in an art museum as apprentice curator, to hopefully take over for the other who is retiring in a few years. He loves it so much, he's always had an affection for the arts and is very artistic himself.

Renjun is still seeing a therapist but not as often as he used to. It's only once a month at most. His self worth is climbing and of course Johnny is a tremendous help in that area. He knows he was wise in falling for a man like him. Johnny knows just when to step in and take care of him and just when he needs to do it on his own. He knows that Johnny was right when he said their differences would make them stronger because they have. Johnny's sometimes goofy self is the perfect accent to Renjun's, too serious side. Renjun also decided to further his education and of course Johnny and Sicheng have helped him along the way.
Johnny is of course still Yuta's right hand man but he's also become his equal, when Yuta sold him half the business. They are now partners but Johnny still likes doing the same as before because he would rather Yuta did all the paperwork. He makes time as much as he can for Renjun and it's honestly so hard but so satisfying. That little ball of fire turned his world upside down and he couldn't be happier. He was too nervous on the night they decided they were ready to go to the next level because he didn't want to hurt the sweet boy in any way. But just as Renjun knew he would be, he was perfectly gentle and loving. It gave Renjun a new appreciation for love and love making that he didn't know he needed.

As the sun set in the New York skyline there were six watching Yuta and Sicheng's marriage. A private ceremony for only friends to witness on top of Yuta's high rise apartment building decorated just perfectly for the small but perfect occasion. As he stands looking at the beautiful man he is about to call husband he chokes up. His heart is so full, and it's been so long since he has felt this way. After losing his sister, he had a deep hole that never will be filled but with the love he has for Sicheng his heart has healed faster than he ever thought. Sicheng is working hard at school and Yuta finally talked him into working less and letting him take care of him more so he didn't have to be so tired and stressed. It took some time but finally he agreed.

"And now the grooms will read their vows." The priest says as he backs up slightly. Sicheng goes first. He wipes the tears that are already falling.
"Yuta, we met under strange circumstances, I was broken, tired and I thought unlovable and unloved." He looks in his eyes, both crying messes, along with their friends.
"To some you are a hero, to some a friend, a brother and to some a boss." He chuckles when Yuta smiles.
"To me, you are all of those and more. You came in and loved me when I was unloved and made me realize I was lovable too. You came in and helped me to fix myself when I was broken and that was the greatest gift of all. My heart belongs to you forever and always."
Neither can stop the flow of tears and Yuta has to take a few deep breaths before he can speak. He's on the verge of sobbing at the moment.
"Sicheng, my love. You are right, it was unusual the way you crashed into my door and into my life. When I saw you lying there, all I could see was an angel who had fallen and even though I would have denied it at the time I was subconsciously determined to pick you back up. I knew deep in my heart that you were my person. You were the one I was supposed to be with forever. My heart belongs to you forever and always."
The ceremony closed out with not a dry eye on the roof. It was beautiful and perfect and they sealed it with a sweet kiss.

This formerly mismatched group of people have become a family with an unbreakable bond.
