I'm Yours ( Book 1 )

Chapter 6 - Welcome Party

Deanna Wong.

From the office, umuwi muna kami ni Fhen sa condo nya. I will be staying with her during my stay in Manila. I have some relatives here but they are based in Cebu. My parents are both in the US now with my younger brother.

Malaki naman yung condo nya, it has 3 bedrooms. As of now, I'm planning to stay for 6 months at least. Pero bahala na, anytime kasi I might change my mind.

After putting my personal things in my room, I took a nap for an hour. Upon waking up, I decided to get ready na. I had a shower and wore comfy clothes.  Ripped jeans, white shirt and white shoes. 

I used to play volleyball nung highschool pero hindi ko na naituloy nung college. But I made sure to stay fit pa rin. Mostly jogging ang exercise ko ngayon. I need to ask Fhen kung saan magandang mag jogging near her condo.

I saw her at the couch when I get out of my room.  She offered me a drink. A glass of rum and coke, she knows what I drink. Umupo ako sa harap niya.

"Isn't it a bit early for this? Besides, somebody has to drive tonight." sabi ko.

"Don't worry, I booked us a Grab kaya no need to limit our drinks tonight Buddy. I want you to enjoy your first night back in Manila. I missed you cousin,  kung hindi ka pa na broken hearted, hindi ka pa uuwi." she replied.

I just laughed and drank the alcohol she gave me. I told her not to mention anything about the main reason I am here in the Philippines. She kept quiet naman. She knows and understands me. I want to keep my personal life private as much as possible.

I'm lucky to have a cousin like her. Fhen is like my sister and a best friend. I can tell her anything without being judged. And vice versa.

I wanted to change the topic kaya tinukso tukso ko sya kay Melanie. She said that she's just flirting with her. But I told her that it's unprofessional since she is the boss. Parang tini-take advantage niya yung position niya to get into Melanie's pants.

"We haven't crossed that line yet, buddy." sabi niya.

I also asked her if she likes anyone at the moment.  Wala daw. Pure fling lang daw sya. I suddenly remembered the girl earlier, Jessica. 

I have to admit, she is pretty. Lalo na kung nagba-blush, hahaha. Parang ang sarap kurot kurutin ng pisngi niya.

Fhen apparently tried it on with Jessica but she didn't take the bait. Apparently, she told Fhen that she is straight. 

Ouch. Why do I feel sad?

We arrived at the bar and saw the group seated already. I saw Jessica talking to the other girl, Kris.  We waved to them and went straight to the bar.  Fhen ordered loads of drinks and food. 

I'm hungry all of a sudden. This is unusual. 

Somebody used to remind me not to skip a meal. 

Somebody used to ask me if I've already eaten. 

I missed that. 

I missed her.

Bigla akong nilapitan ni Melanie at niyaya nya akong sumayaw. Hindi ako marunong kako pero she's pulling me pa rin.

"Parehong kaliwa ang paa ko hehe." I said.

Tumawa naman siya at hindi na ako pinilit dahil nakatingin si Fhen sa kanya.

"O si Jema na lang partner mo, sya ang best dancer sa amin." she said.

Damn, for real? 

I looked at Jema, she blushed and bowed her head. Hindi makatingin sa akin. Shy type ka pala ha. Parang ang sarap nyang asarin.

Wala na siyang nagawa when Fhen pushed us both to the dance floor. Para akong poste na nakatayo lang doon but then Jema started to dance infront of me. 

Wow, she got moves. Hindi naman pala siya mahiyain pag nagsasayaw.  Saka may tama na siguro ng konti sa ininom niya.

Me? I can't dance even for my life, haha.

She hold my hands.

"Come on Ms. Deanna, dance." sabi nya. 

Huh lasing na ba ito? Ang lambot ng kamay nya, bigla akong nakaramdam ng kakaibang sensasyon. Inikot-ikutan nya ako while dancing pero tinitignan ko lang sya. 

She's very pretty when she's smiling. She put her hands on my shoulders. Ang lambot ng katawan niya sa totoo lang. I was tempted to put my arms on her waist pero pinigilan ko.

"Ang tigas ng katawan mo." she whispers to my ear that put goosebumps into my nape.

"Hey, ang yabang mo naman." sabi ko nung nakabawi ako.

Mas lalo siyang gumiling sa harap ko.

This girl is killing me. I can feel electricity from her touch. At ang bango nya ha. 

Why do I feel like this? How can she affect me like that?  I've just known her for like 8 hours.

Natapos din ang tugtog so we moved back to our table and had more drinks and food. Jema stopped drinking after two rounds because she's driving daw. 

I mouthed KJ to her and she stuck her tongue out.  Shocks, does she know that she's hot when she do that?
