Rin flung the shoji wide open. Inside, were the new recruits, lined up in front of the commander, vice-commander and whatever Sannan was; she never bothered to learn. A massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She smirked:

" What's this?" Sannan adjusted his glasses and said:

"New recruits."

"Fun. Fresh meat."

"No one for now."

"Stick in the mud." She snatched a look at the group. Most looked somewhat surprised, others slightly offended, one was completely unreadable. Interesting.

She leaned against the wall, using Souji's head as an armrest. He batted it away, but she simply put it back.

"Moving on, next person." The unreadable one said:

"Susumu Yamazaki. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Weren't you born in Osaka?"

"Yes Sir! My father was an acupuncturist." Toshi took immediate interest.

"So, you possess medical knowledge?"

"A bit."

"Good, we may need that knowledge someday." Beyond that point, Rin started to drown out the conversation. She sunk down to the floor, collapsing against to wall. Eventually, the introductions came to a close and Toshi got up to officially accept them into the Roshigumi.

"From now on, you are warriors. Regardless of your birth, rearing and pasts, we will treat you as such, and you will be expected to act accordingly. Are you ready to do this?" There was unanimous "Sir!" Toshi continued:

"We have amongst us people no one ever cared for. Bastards, beggars, women." He said gesturing in turn to Heisuke, Sano and Rin. "Here, we do not care for bloodlines, we care for skill and spirit." Rin straightened her spine."They've proven their worth and now, it's your turn."

A/N: I'm so sorry it's been so long and that is so short, but I'm struggling with this.
