Chapter 18

Kiera's POV

I was in the kitchen making sandwiches for Rayne and I, when Adonis walked in.

"Hey is everything okay?", I asked handing Rayne her plate.

"Yeah. He's here and healing well but...", I cut him off.

"You still need answers.", he nodded and took a bite of my sandwich.

"Hey!", I lightly smacked his arm.

He just laughed and walked away. I turned around and saw Rayne laughing too.

"Oh you think that's funny? Come here!", I tickled her.

"Hey!", I heard someone say.

"Daddy!", Rayne yelled and ran to him.

"Hey Rayne!", he picked her up in a hug.

"I missed you. Where were you?", she asked sadly.

While they were talking, I signaled Loni to follow me to the living room.

"Soo ya'll seem fine now.", I said cheesing.

"Yea we talked and there's actually something I want to tell you.", she paused.

"Wassup?", patiently waiting.

"Weeellll, I'm pregnant!", she announced.

"Omg! Really? Congratulations!", I yelled hugging her.

"Aye what's wrong? I heard yelling.", Adonis came running in.

"Nothing's wrong, I was congratulating her.", I reassured him.

"Oh okay sorry I though something was wrong and congratulations Aloni.", he said looking embarrassed.

"Wait you knew!", Aloni asked him.

"Yeah we both knew Loni.", Aries answered coming into the room with Rayne.

"What? How?", Loni and I both questioned.

"Were vampires remember.", Aries replied coming up behind Aloni.

"Your're one too?", I asked surprised that were living among actual supernatural creatures.

"Yea surprise!", he playfully said and showed his fangs.

"Daddy will I have those too?", Rayne asked taking an interest in them.

"Yea when you get older princess.", he said.

I noticed it was getting late, so I decided to head upstairs to the room I was staying in. I gathered my clothes and went to take a shower in my en-suite.

When I got out, I stared at myself in the mirror just thinking about the current events in my life. I went from living a normal life with my dog and my bestfriend to living with vampires trying to hide from danger. I quickly got dressed and exited the bathroom.

"Kiera.", Adonis said scaring me.

"Oh Dios mio! Adonis you scared me!", I yelled picking up my dropped clothes.

"I'm sorry.", he apologized helping me pick them up, "Lace?"

"Ugh give me those. Why are you in my room anyway?", I questioned snatching my bra back.

"I wanted to ask you out on date.", he said waiting on my response.

"Then ask me.", I turned around facing him.

"Kiera would you go on a date with me?" he asked.

"Hmm, I think about it.", I answered walking to my bed.

"Wow really?", he lightly laughed.

"Yep. Goodnight.", I blew a kiss and flipped over to go to sleep.

"Goodnight love.", He whispered and walked out shutting my door.
