Kennedy's POV

The sky was pitch black with barely any stars, the only light coming from Murphy's torches a distance away. I was out with Bellamy, searching for Charlotte, as no doubt Clarke and Finn messed it up. Plus I didn't trust Murphy, neither did Bellamy.

Murphy's roar of Charlotte's name could be heard in the distance and even I was slightly scared of him. All of a sudden, a girls scream sounded.

"Murphy! I'm here!"

I turned to Bellamy in panic.

"Charlotte," we both said. Running to where we heard the voice, Bellamy covered Charlotte's mouth. She kicked and screamed and I tried to quieten her, but she wouldn't stop making noise.

"Charlotte, please," I begged her in a whisper.

"Charlotte. Come on. I need you to be safe," Bellamy said, uncovering her mouth as she started to calm down.

"Why? I'm not your sister!" Charlotte shouted. It was cruel and I could see by Bellamy's reaction he was hurt. I decided to take the lead with Charlotte.

"We're not leaving you Charlotte!" I said, holding her shoulders. Bellamy then stepped forward and tossed Charlotte over his shoulder.

"MURPHY!" she began to scream again and I ran behind them. We'd been running for 5 minutes but Murphy's gang were slowly catching up. Bellamy then stooped, placing Charlotte down again. She began to run forward but he stopped her.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah," he pulled her shirt back and I realised quickly why. We were right on the edge of a ridge. I turned to run the other way but saw Murphy and his gang appear. Shit! Clarke and Finn then appeared and I looked angrily at them, shaking my head. This was their fault.

"Well, well, well," Murphy started. "Bellamy I knew you had a thing for younger girls but." Bellamy went to lunge for Murphy but Charlotte touched his hand, instantly calming him. I think he wanted to keep his angry side concealed from her.

"Listen Charlotte. If you come with me, no one has to get hurt," Murphy said but no one believed him. She tried to go over to Murphy but Bellamy grabbed her.

"We don't need to fight Murphy. But if that's what is going to happen, I'm sure me and Kennedy can easily take you," Bellamy spoke confidently. Murphy simply scoffed.

"I'll tell you again Charlotte. Come with me and no one gets hurt!" he repeated but Bellamy still clung to her hand. I began to walk towards Murphy.

"We'll never let you take her Murphy," I spat at him. Murphy then grabbed me and put his knife against my throat.

"I'm sick of hearing your voice Kershaw! Make the wrong move and I'll slit her throat!"

Bellamy looked at me concerned but I shook my head at him, very slightly so to not cut my neck, trying to let him know that I'm fine and to keep Charlotte safe. He nodded and kept hold of Charlotte's hand.

"Suit yourself," Murphy mumbled and pressed the knife harder on my neck. I gasped at the restriction to breath and I felt blood began to flow from my neck. Bellamy must have loosened his grip on Charlotte as she broke free.

"Don't hurt her," Charlotte said, walking closer to Murphy.

"Don't hurt her?" Murphy asked. "OK, I'll make you a deal. You come with me right now and I'll let her go."

"Don't do it Charlotte," I looked at her, growing weak as blood still trickled from my neck.

Charlotte tried to go to Murphy and Bellamy grabbed her, not letting her go.
