Kennedy's POV
I awoke slowly, my eyes flitting upon as the fire light lit up my tent. I could hear commotion outside and another shout caught my attention.
"Kennedy! Get out here!" It was Octavia. I looked over my shoulder to see a shirtless Bellamy in my bed, still sound asleep. I shook him slightly, trying to wake him up but he only slightly stirred.
"Bell!" I hissed quietly.
"What?" he mumbled, rubbing my leg.
"Octavia is outside!"
That woke him up. He sat upright and Octavia shouted again.
"Kennedy. Are you OK? Do you need me to come in?"
"No!" I shouted quickly. "I'm coming!"
"You stay in here and I'll distract Octavia. Then come out and act like you came from another tent," I whispered and he nodded.
With that, I climbed out my tent in my bra and shorts. I looked up to what everyone was looking at and y eyes widened. It was a dropship. Bellamy then appeared just behind me and Octavia.
"What's going on?" he asked, looking at the sky.
"It's a dropship," I pointed out. We watched in awe as it fell and the parachute opened. Octavia then lent over and whispered, "Why do you think Bellamy is shirtless?"
I panicked slightly. "When we got back I saw Bree and Roma head into his tent with him," I shrugged and she pulled a disgusted face.
"Why would you tell me that?" she said, her nose still crinkled up. Just then I heard shouting from the gate.
"IT'S CLARKE AND FINN!"
I turned to face where the two of them now stood, slightly confused at where they had been.
"Did you see the dropship?" Clarke asked and the camp muttered multiple yeses. "Good, because we need to go and find it. There could be supplies on there. Food, water, a radio?" Clarke suggested and Bellamy interrupted.
"That's good and all Princess, but it's dark. That means Grounders are out. I say we wait until morning and we'll send a group."
"What if the Grounders get to them first? We are leaving now Bellamy!" Clarke enforced and he sighed.
"Fine," he rolled his eyes.
"Us three will go to the dropship, everyone else not on watch can go back to sleep," Clarke ordered and people began to head back to the tents.
"Kennedy is coming as well," Bellamy stated and I saw Clarke roll her eyes slightly. Ouch. I looked at him slightly confused but didn't argue. "We leave in an hour," he announced.
I decided to go back to my tent to get dressed, finding my usual pants, top and jacket. I shoved my boots back on and tied my hair in a ponytail. I turned around to grab my water bottle and saw Octavia sticking her head through the door of my tent.
"Hey Ken. I was just wondering, why did Bell demand you come? I'm not being rude, I'm just...curious," she asked. I could tell she was a little hurt he didn't ask her to come.
"I don't know. He probably wants you here with Jasper seeing as you guys are pretty close," I suggested. She looked down, unsure, but then smiled back and left my tent. I grabbed the bag I had packed and left my tent, seeing Clarke and Finn stood by the dropship. I reached them quickly but they didn't look happy.
"Where's Bellamy?" I asked, confused.
"He's already left," Finn said angrily. "There must be something on that ship he wants."
"Come on. We have to find the dropship before him or the Grounders do," Clarke said, her and Finn heading off ahead of me. I followed behind them, feeling awkward.
.
.
.
"I found it!"
I ran to where I heard Clarke shout and saw the crashed dropship in a clearing. It was now fairly light and smoke poured off the ship. I peeked through the window and saw someone inside.
"Clarke. Finn. There's someone inside," I shouted and they scrambled over.
Clarke, being the medic, stuck her head in first and removed the pilot's helmet. The pilot, who I now saw to be a girl, began to stir.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" Clarke said and she nodded.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I'm getting out," she said. Finn and I stood on the other side of the ship as she climbed out in the opposite direction and walked around the ship. Her eyes widened and she suddenly ran and tackled Finn in a hug. Clarke and I looked uncomfortably at each other, not knowing what to do.
"Finn, oh my god!" she said, squeezing him tightly.
"Raven," I heard Finn murmur.
The girl, who I now knew to be called Raven, pulled away from the hug and kissed Finn. My eyes widened and I turned to look at Clarke, who looked upset. Everyone knew that her and Finn had a thing. Of course there is a love triangle. Raven and Finn finally let go of each other and Raven turned to Clarke.
"Oh my God! Clarke? Clarke Griffin?" Raven said. Jesus does this girl know everyone?
Clarke just looked at her confused. "Your mum knew you were still alive. She loves you so much Clarke," Raven said.
She then turned to me and I realised she didn't know me. "I'm Kennedy. Kennedy Kershaw," I introduced myself.
"I'm Raven Reyes," she replied, shaking my hand.
"No offence Raven, but can I ask why you're down here?" I asked.
"I have a radio. I built it. You can now contact the Ark and tell them that you are all alive," she said, smiling. I looked at Clarke sadly, thinking about Charlotte, who died not even 12 hours ago.
"Not all," I muttered but Raven was rooting around in the ship.
"Shit!" she swore, turning round to face us. "The radio is gone."
She held up a group of wires that had been cut, and then it all fit into place in my head.
"Bellamy."
