Kennedy's POV

I sat in my tent, picking at loose skin on my fingernails when Jasper came into my tent.

"Hey Ken. There is a search party for Clarke and Finn, you coming?" he asked, smiling warmly at me. Jasper was someone who could just bring positive energy into somewhere and right now, I appreciated it.

"Yeah, I'm coming now," I mumbled, pushing the covers off of myself.

"Ken, are you OK?" he asked, looking at me concerned. And then I did something I regretted. My vision was clouded with hatred of Bellamy and confusion and in that moment of madness I lent forward and kissed Jasper. Instantly he pulled away.

"Kennedy, I'm sorry. You know I like Octavia and all," he spoke softly, trying not to hurt my feelings. But the damage was done and the pain of rejection from Bellamy and now one of my closest friends was getting too much.

"You are being so stupid Jasper, pining after Octavia. She doesn't want you, now I do," I teased, despite it being a complete lie. I liked Bellamy, and I'm pretty sure he was aware of that but he seemed hurt by my statement. I don't blame him.

"No Kennedy. What has got into you?" he asked me, his eyebrows furrowed. With that, he walked out the tent. Why do the good ones fall for the Blakes?

Frustrated, I exhaled deeply, rubbing my face before getting out of my bed in my black cropped tank top and shorts, the usual. The Earth was surprisingly hot and people were wearing minimal clothing. On leaving the tent, I bumped into Octavia.

"Oh Kennedy, you're with me, Jasper, Monty, Raven and Bell. I was just coming to look for you, Jasper said you were in the tent?" she said, surprisingly cheerfully considering we were going on a search party for our friends.

"Yeah, sorry. I just got...distracted," I mumbled but I don't think she was listening that much as we walked back to the group. I made brief eye contact with Jasper and felt guilty but the feeling went away quickly looking at Bellamy and Raven, which only fuelled my burning anger and the visions of walking in on them again.

"Let's move out!" Bellamy shouted, gesturing for the groups to begin leaving camp. I got at the head of our group, walking next to Monty as I thought it would be the least awkward. Jasper clearly told him what happened as he didn't speak to me. After around 20 minutes of walking, Monty turned to me and stopped.

"Kennedy, what happened to your nose?" he asked. I reached my hand up and touched just under my nostril and my fingers came back red.

"Nothing," I mumbled, wiping my nose, although I think I only smeared it. I then checked behind me, hoping none of  them had heard, which it seemed that they hadn't. I was about to ask Monty if he knew when a loud groan sounded from a few hundred feet.

I ran to where I heard the noise origin and saw Myles, who I recognised as Clarke and Finn's hunting partner, lying bloodied on the floor.

"Myles, oh my God, are you OK?" I asked, as everyone else began to catch up. Bellamy then pushed past the rest of the group, kneeling down next to me and checking his pulse. He's watched Clarke do this a million times.

"He's dead."

I didn't have long to be shocked as I started to get dizzy. I reached up to touch my face and blood stained my fingers. I fell back onto the grass behind me and the last thing I saw before my vision went black was Bellamy.

Bellamy's POV

Kennedy's eyes closed as shouting sounded all around us.

"Kennedy. Kennedy, can you hear me?" Octavia shouted. I just watched Kennedy, lay lifelessly on the grass, her face covered in blood.

"Bellamy!" Raven shouted.

"Someone is going to have to carry her back to camp," Octavia said.

"I'll grab her," I said quickly. I reached down and scooped Kennedy up. She looked so small and fragile and being so close to her when she was still made me notice all the scars on her body. Her face had several cuts on, still visible underneath the blood coming from her eyes, nose and ears. Her neck had a thin white scar across it, which I remembered she received the night Charlotte died on the cliff. Her arm closest to me had a few scratches on and her stomach had several scars. She seemed so broken right now, and knowing that that was partly my fault killed me.

Once we got back to camp, I carried Kennedy into the dropship and placed her on a hammock. The others attempted to come in but I sent them away.

"Her symptoms seem to be similar to the virus. I'll clean her up and keep an eye on her. Worst comes to worst, I'll get Monroe in. I know she wanted to be a doctor and might know something," I told them, and with that, they all left the dropship. I grabbed a scrap of cloth and wet it in a bucket. Using the cloth, I dabbed the blood off her face, seeing her beautiful features once again gleam. Kennedy was so naturally beautiful and incredible, she wasn't fake. It was something I appreciated.

Once cleaning the blood, I sat on a seat next to the hammock, just watching her sleep. She was peaceful. It didn't last for long, however, as her eyes flitted open, turning cold when they saw me.

"Kennedy, you're awake. You need to take it easy OK," I started, but she ignored me, getting out of the hammock and walking to the dropship door.

"Kennedy, I'm serious!" I pleaded but again she ignored me, pulling the lever to open the ship door.

"Leave me alone Bellamy!" she spat, walking out of the dropship and towards the tent.

A/N

Question: Least favourite season?

Answer: Season 5. I don't know I just struggled to get into it as much as the others and I feel really disconnected to a lot of characters. I don't know, it's hard to explain but I loved the four other seasons but the fifth I just like less.
