Kennedy's POV
Everyone was currently congregated in the dropship, stood in a semi-circle around a small screen displaying Chancellor Jaha. Today was Unity Day, the historic day where all the different stations joined together to form the Arc. On the Arc, it had become a day celebrated by all, but personally, I'd never taken much interest.
"Of course the communications were fixed by Unity Day," I heard someone mutter, making me snicker quietly.
"This is bullshit!" I mumbled, slightly louder than I meant it to be.
"What?" Clarke snapped, causing my head to spin from the screen to where she was stood with Finn.
"I said this is bullshit!" I argued back. "Unity Day is bullshit. The Arc was only formed after the 13th station was blown up for not joining!"
My parents had always been honest with me about the events of Unity Day, unlike the teachers on the Arc who ignored how the 13th station was destroyed for not responding.
"Peace came from that violence," Clarke argued back, causing me and several others to roll their eyes.
"Did there even need to be violence? They could have just left the 13th station solitary!" I shouted at her.
"Kennedy!" Finn barked, looking at me as if I needed to keep quiet. But before I had time to respond, Jasper arrived holding a flask.
"Boys and girls, I present to you, Unity Juice," he wiggled his eyebrows playfully. I walked over to the bottle and smelt it, instantly retreating. Once my scent had recovered I smiled up at Jasper.
"Hand me the cup." People cheered, egging me on as I took a large sip of the drink. It burned my throat violently as it travelled down my neck and I swallowed. Everyone began to charge at Jasper and I could see Clarke' frustration through the crowds of teenagers.

It had been several hours and I had now ingested a large amount of Unity Juice. Taking another sip from my makeshift cup, I watched Clarke and Bellamy talking from the dropship. I felt my stomach burning at the sight and it was hard to tell if it was jealousy or the drink that was causing it. I'd been watching them for a while and I was very aware of the fact that they had not drank Jasper's concoction. Clarke then wandered off, leaving Bellamy alone, sitting down on the log that was behind him. I got up, stumbling slightly, and walked slowly towards where he was sat. Although the camp was only small and highly overcrowded, it was quiet and empty where Bellamy was.
"Hey," I slurred, wobbling slightly before plonking myself down on his lap. I felt him shift uncomfortably and quickly push me off so I was sat next to him.
"HEY!" I exclaimed, fake angrily. He ignored me, his eyes firmly on the fire in front of him.
"You're so confusing!" I groaned, leaning my head back.
"How am I?" he asked, causing my to look at him.
"Think about all the times we've kissed and, I'm pretty sure if I hadn't of stopped us in that factory, we would've had sex," I reminded him. He was at least looking at me now but he still just looked at me blankly. "But then, I see you sleeping with other girls, or multiple girls in your tent! I'm confused because you're confusing! It's like, you're hot and then you're cold." I referenced a song that played at every Unity Day dance on the Arc.
I noticed him smile slightly before turning to face me. "Kennedy, that song is 141 years old!" I rolled my eyes at him.
He hesitated before he spoke again, like he was pondering on what to say to me. "Leave it alone Ken," he mumbled, referencing the serious part of our conversation.
"I don't want to leave it alone. Just tell me!" I exclaimed desperately. I knew he was right and I should leave it alone but I was not in the right mindset to think rationally.
"Kennedy," he spoke sharply, but his voice was still quiet.
"Just tell me please!" I begged, shaking his shoulder slightly. "Seriously Bellamy, this situation is so fucking agitating. Just tell me how you feel so we can either be loyal to each other or you can be loyal to fucking every groupie in this camp!"
That might have been harsh but it seemed to get my point across. Without answering, Bellamy stood up and walked away from me. I sighed and looked around, desperately wanting to find some other company so I didn't either cry or try and pick another fight with Bellamy. Standing up, I noticed Connor walking towards me. It was also then when I noticed Bellamy watching me from the dropship where I was stood not long ago spying on him and Clarke. I plastered a smile across my face and stumbled over into Connor's arms.
"Connor, hi!" I said excitedly and he steadied me.
"Woah, careful Ken. We don't want baby getting injured," he smirked at me, and I smacked his arm playfully.
"I'm not a baby," I pouted and he laughed.
"Sure you're not, baby," he continued to laugh but his hands lowered to rest on the sides of my back.
"Hey, I want to show you something," I said, grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the dropship. Walking past the dropship, I pulled Connor to the back of the ship, between the metal exterior and the fence of the wall.
"What do you want me to see?" he asked, confused but then seemed to understand. He lent it, resting his palms on the dropship wall my back was against and his lips touched mine. Instantly, the kiss felt dead and emotionless, the opposite of how it felt with Bellamy. He tasted of Unity Juice, which I'm sure was the same as me, but I didn't seem to care. Bellamy had hurt me before and this, as wrong as it felt, made me feel like I had power. I wrapped my arms over his neck and pulled him closer to me but before anything escalated further, a cough interrupted us. Breaking apart, I looked over to see Miller standing awkwardly with his arms crossed.
"Sorry, ugh, Connor, they need your help in the communications tent," he spoke, avoiding eye contact with either of us.
"Um, sure. Just give me a sec," he spoke and Miller nodded, walking off. "I'm sorry. I gotta go. I'll speak to you later, OK?"
I just nodded and watched Connor walk away from me. Adjusting my clothes, I walked back to the centre of camp to the table where Jasper had put out the Unity Juice. I grabbed my cup and filled it to the top with the drink and walked over to the dropship, resting my back against the entrance. Looking over to my left, I saw Bellamy watching me. I was 100% certain he had told Miller to come and get Connor and sarcastically I raised my cup in his direction. Smiling, he did the same and winked at me, as if he was saying that he was winning.
