I know I over reacted with Marco, but I couldn't help it, I'd seen it happen to many times to count that these young kids go over there and don't come back. Or worse they come back in a body bag. I didn't want that to happen to him, but I also had to realize that Nia is right they aren't my burden anymore and I have to let them live their own lives. I caught him before he told Gigi that I acted out of character with him. He promised he wouldn't tell her, but I shouldn't have believe that cause as soon as their visit was done, I got a phone call from her. And now my grown ass is fearing for my life as I drive to meet with her and Mimi at her office.

I pulled up to the store and went in. Hey Joia! Hey Charli! They here? Yup got here a few minutes ago. They look upset? Naw they were cool. Okay I said heading to the stairs. Things for Gigi's business had gotten good, she was able to completely redo her store and even add a second story to it. I walked up the stairs to her office and knocked on the door. Come in! I slowly opened the door to see her and Mimi talking. You wanted to see me. Mhm close the door she said as Mimi whispered something in her ear. I know damn I got it she said looking at her with look I'd seen her give Mimi maybe 5 times in the course of them being married. Watch it, you ain't to old for me to bust yo ass Mimi said walking away to sit in another chair.

Your brother came to see me, why you go off on him like that? Gigi! No Charli, this boy is going over seas to do something so big and you want to bitch him out. I didn't even try to argue with her, I just sat there and listened. Charli! I hear you Gigi and I understand I was just worried I said looking up at her. When she saw that I was genuine her mood softened. Don't do that! I am sorry. Ughh you damn kids are gonna drive my blood pressure up she said shaking her head. They better not we got it back to normal we don't need no issues Nichole, Mimi said finally speaking. Look Charli I understand you are worried about Marco, but he's not in any danger going over there. How do you do know that for sure? Well for one boy, Mimi said sitting next to me he's in the national guard reserve he's going to serve the time he is committed to and then he's coming back to go to school to be an engineer. An Engineer I said looking at them. Yes, an Engineer your brother is smart and rather than take the money from you, us, or your dad he enrolled in the military, so they would pay for his education.

I shook my head and looked down. How did yall know? Well I didn't know for a minute until Blondie over her finally let it slip. One more time Jayme, she said looking at her. I chuckled a little cause Gigi was lowkey annoying Mimi and enjoying every minute of it. Anyway, he put us down on his paperwork. When he signed up, when he got the call that they were stationing him Guam he was freaked out and need reassurance. He called yall. Yeah, he did. I apologized to him and told him whatever he needed I got him. Oh, we know, it took you all of what 6 mins after he left to call. Nia told you! No, we know you, we raised you boy soon as you found out he was coming to our house you were up, and, on that phone, they said laughing. Ughhh sometimes it's too much. We know but you don't have to worry about all of them like that anymore they are grown and don't require you to parent them. Easier said than done I said nodding. We understand, you got your own kids don't worry about nobody else's kids.

Speaking of kids, do you still have all of yours, I said looking at Gigi? Yeah, she's still alive for the time being, but this boy or rather this man, I am not feeling him. He's not abusing her, is he? If he values living, he better not be. Okay Jay you just told him about parenting grown people. Big difference she actually is my child and ... never mind cause I said I wouldn't stress myself out. Just as she said that my phone started ringing. I looked at the number, Gigi I gotta take this I said standing. Okay you can use the conference room down the hall but come back when you're done, we need to discuss this wedding for Marco.
