I am yours FOREVER (A Zac and Tom story)

What do Tom want ?

I hear Lumi curse and jump out the car and I wonder what is happening. Then I see the shadow on the porch and instantly recognize Tom. Shit, Lumi is going to skin him alive.

"Zac, we need to stop her". I grab the handle to open the door. "She'll hurt him".

"Well, he kind of deserves it". Zac mumbles as he gets out of the car too.

The porch light turns on and I see Tom standing there, head hanging and his bag beside him. He looks pale and the beard is on the way back.

"You fucking asshole". Tom doesn't even lift his head as she screams at him, or when she starts hitting her fists against his chest. He just stands there taking it.

"Stop Lumi, stop it". I grab her arm but she shakes me off.

Her voice is shaking with anger. "Do not come here and protect him now.. he is an idiot and he deserves to suffer as much as you have".

"Zac for god's sake, do something". I look at him, realising he is frozen in place, staring at the hurricane Lumi. "Wake up and grab her".

Finally he snaps out of it and he folds his long arms around Lumi. "Stop baby, I know you are angry, but I can't let you kill Tom.. especially not on my porch".

"Let me go you dipshit, he is just getting what he deserves". She is fighting against him, trying to get to Tom, who is still just standing there.

Zac literally lifts her off the ground. "Meri please unlock the door and open it for me so I can get fiesty here inside".

I hurry to get my keys out and get the door open for him, allowing him to drag the cursing and wiggling Lumi inside. I hear Zac groan. "Fuck, calm down woman, I don't deserve getting hit".

Right now he just has to handle her himself and I close the door and turn to look at Tom. "What are you doing here Tom ?"

Finally he lifts his head, looking at me. He has dark circles under his eyes, and he has definitely lost weight. His voice sounds like he fears it's a dream. "Meri ? Oh Meri".

"Yes Tom.. oh you look horrible love, has something happened". I hate seeing him like this.

"You Meri.. no.. me.. I fucked up.. I ruined everything". He shakes his head. "I am so sorry. I thought I did the right thing for everyone. But you and I need to be together as much as Zac and Lumi does".

I swallow, shaking my head. "You broke up with me Tom, because you didn't want me to choose between Texas and London and everyone else has chosen. So nothing has changed".

"It has.. I got a one way ticket Meri.. I am staying here, if you can find it in your heart to forgive me.. again". He looks into my eyes, his eyes so sad that it tears my soul.

"Tom.. I..".

"It's okay.. I understand". His lip is quivering badly. "I don't deserve to be forgiven".

I grab his arm. "It's not that Tom.. there is just something I have to tell you first, before you decide if you are going to move here".

"Oh.. sure. Anything Meri". He gently takes my hand, caressing it like it's the most precious treasure.

"Come, let's sit down". I drag him with me to a swinging couch in the corner of the porch.

He follows me and sits down, grabbing my other hand too, so he is now holding both my hands tightly in his. "So what is it Meri ?"

"I have made a promise to Lumi and Zac, and I intend to keep it. You will have to accept that if we are to be together".

"Sure.. it won't be a problem". He looks very relieved.

I bite my lip. "Maybe you should hear what it is first.. Lumi can't have kids and I.. I offered to have a baby for them.. I am going to keep that promise".

He looks rather shocked. "Oh wow.. I have to admit that I did not expect that". He breathes in deeply. "So like a surrogate or how will this work ?"

"Her eggs don't work and she can't carry a child because of the medication". I look into his eyes to try and read his feelings, I know it is a big thing to accept. "So I offered them my eggs and to carry the child".

"So basically you and Zac are going to have a child". There is pain in his eyes, but also love and understanding.

I breathe in. "I guess you can say that. But it is going to be their baby, I am only going to be Aunt Meri. But I understand if you .. if it's too much for you".

"Meri.. darling, it's the sweetest and most selfless thing I have ever heard. You truly have a heart of gold to do this. Honestly, it is a weird thought to me, but I know how much kids mean to Zac, and I can't deny him and Lumi that happiness.. so I will support you in this.. on one condition".

"Okay.. and that is". I look curiously at him, wondering what it could be.

With shaking hands he slides down on the floor, kneeling. "Meri, I know I have said and done things that hurt you, but I promise I will never do that again. I only want to protect you. I'd rather have one breath of your hair, one kiss from your mouth, one touch of your hand, than eternity without it. You have bewitched me body and soul and I love.. love .. love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on. Please be mine.. merry me and I'll be yours for eternity".

"Oh god". I am literally in shock, I had not expected this. My heart is hammering like crazy and butterflies are doing a conga in my stomach, but there is no doubt in my heart. "Yes.. of course it's a yes, more than anything".

Tears well up in his eyes and he kisses my hands several times. "Thank you Meri, Thank you so much.. ohh the ring.. I have a ring".

He scrambles in his pockets, looking all flustered. Then finding it and pulling it out. It's from Tiffany I notice. He opens the box and reveals a diamond covered band with a rather big heart shaped pink diamond. It is truly beautiful.

"I saw it and thought of you.. but if it's not your taste.. if it's wrong.. I'll get you anything you want.. I..". I grab his face, kissing him to shut him up.

When I let him go I can't help giggling. "Please shut up Tom and put that beautiful ring on my finger".
