Lisa's POV.
It's been a long time since I drank liquor. I stopped during the days Jennie and I were together.
Here I go again. Reminding me about Jennie all the time. I'm getting tired of being distressed about losing her —
"Lisa, slow down. You're going to be drunk first if you keep on doing that." I didn't even notice that I was such a pro drinker. "Do you like my cousin so much?" I nod. "I think I can help you guys talk to each other. Maybe even work things out. But for now, let's drink!" Jisoo tries to cheer me up.
We drank and danced all night in my new house.
"Thank you, guys, for helping me move out and found me a house — that I can now say my own."
"It's not much work. And we would do anything for our leader grim. " I playfully punch Vʼs shoulder.
Jackson hugs my side. "Plus! We wouldn't all be here if you didn't help us. So we're very thankful to you." It's everyone's first time hearing Jackson be so genuine and not joke around.
His life is as devastating as mine. His parents died and left him nothing. His aunt is a narcissist, so he chooses to run away.
He was young when I met him. Slightly older but short. "What?" He asked us. "I'm just happy that I have awesome friends." He hugged us one at a time.
They bid their goodbyes, and I'm alone again.
I found my feet carrying my body towards the kitchen and poured myself a glass of water. I sat on one of the stools and slowly drank.
About what Jisoo told me, is it true? Do I have a chance to make Jennie mine again?
My heart pounds at the thought of talking to Jennie — I must be out of my damn mind.
You can't deny yourself that you don't miss your ex at some point in your life. To me, I miss her. I want to be able to hold her in my arms again. To kiss her and tell her she's not going to lose me.
I want those things.
I want Jennie back.
I wobbly ran upstairs to get my phone and dialed Jennieʼs number. "Please, pick up." I rang her phone six times before she answered.
Why am I even calling her in this state of mine? I'm too intoxicated to know.
"Didn't I tell you... that I no longer want you in my life?"
I smiled. I don't care.
"It's your fault because you didn't block me yet." Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"Is that all you wanted to say? What a dick of you to do. I'm ending —"
Yes, I shouldn't have.
"Wait! I'm here to say sorry. I swear I didn't mean to lie to you. I love you, Jennie. I'm still thinking about you, day and night. I want to see you again. I never wanted to hurt you. Please, come back."
I heard nothing. I looked at my phone to see it closed.
She had already ended the call.
I tried calling again, but I couldn't reach her.
She had already blocked me through everything.
My eyes started to fog. "What the fuck am I going to do now?" I cried.
My Jennie no longer wants me.
She hates me.
I cried till I could no longer take it anymore. I'm too heartbroken. I deserved it because I was a liar.
If I didn't take my job, I would see her and make her love me with no secrets. I could've been better for her if I wasn't a mafia.
But then, I wouldn't have met her If I had never taken the job.
I hate myself so much.
I'm so problematic.
I wiped my tears, "Fuckʼs sake." I took my keys and dragged myself out of the house. I took my car and drove somewhere I didn't even know.
I don't want to be home. My home is long gone, and she detests me.
I drove at a high speed. I feel like flying in the air — it's freeing.
My eyes became misty from the tears that were falling down my eyes. I wipe the tears from my eyes.
BEEP! BEEP!
Buzzing on my ears, I can't move my body. I slowly touch my head —
Blood? I'm bleeding.
I tilt my head to the side — my car is upside down, I'm upside down.
"Holy shit," I cussed before I felt my eyes grow heavy.
