Jennieʼs POV.I slumped down on my bed, not wanting to get out. I feel so choked and lied to. I can't believe the last person I expected to care for me badly lied to me,
"— What do I do now?" I question myself, palming my face. My phone buzzed, and I reached to check on who texted me. It was my dad.
Feeling so exhausted by the shocking events that happened these past few days, I slumped back down to bed and ignored all the messages that I was receiving from people.
I'm still mad at my dad for lying to me and hiring mafias to what? I don't know.
Why even mafias? Don't they like to raid and kill people? Ugh, who cares? It's fucked up if you think about it.
I snatched the remote control that was resting on my side table and scrolled through the channels — Just to be directed to the news, I watched and examined what the newscaster was talking about — her background was a burned-down casino
She said that the cause of the arson was unknown. "News report that the owner of the casino had disappeared long ago before the fire. The casinoʼs location is said to be at the famous Samcheongdong-gil Road and has been bankrupt for some time now."
I volume up.
"There's a rumor that he is responsible for prostitution and loan sharking." That's probably the cause of his disappearance.
Who would do such a bad thing? Good for him disappearing, and salute to the ones who did it. "That is all for today in K-news."
I turned off my Television and sighed before closing my eyes. It's back to being boring again.
I opened my eyes to see no light in my room, my only light was the moon above. A loud commotion made me stand up and be on high alert. The sound of a rock shattering on my glass door.
"What the fuck, Lisa," I mumbled before heading out to the balcony — There Is no one? I checked every corner to see nothing.
I cursed mentally. It's probably some dumb teenagers pulling a prank on my dadʼs house again.
I double-checked before heading back again. There was nobody but trees and bushes. A few minutes before turning around, a hand covered my mouth and nose. "Hmmmhfp!" I tried screaming.
I grabbed the tall figure's hair, desperate to get free.
Nobody is around to help me. Nobody to save me from this horrible nightmare — I closed my eyes, pleading to God that someone would save me.
Everything went quiet, and the arm on my mouth was no longer there. I slowly open my eyes to see the sun peeking through my condoʼs window. How did I get back here?
Paranoid, I looked around to check if someone was there with me. Gladly, It's just a dream. I checked my phone to see tons of pings and notifications.
I massaged my temple before getting ready to go to school.
I look like shit, and I know everyone knows that.
Every time I walk, I see pairs of eyes judging me from behind.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever bitches. I mentally said.
At least I'm rich. I rolled my eyes, fast walking to my first classroom. Great, I'm late.
I looked around my classroom. Only Jisoo was present among them. No sign of Lisa and their two friends
At least, that is good news for me. I greet Jisoo before sitting down next to Rosé. "Good morning, Jennie Kim." My teacher welcomed me sarcastically.
Bitch.
"As you see, three students are gone in our class. Because they have been expelled and banned from this university —" Everyone gasped and whispered to one another. "Settle down people. The principal decided that it would be the best since they failed all of their class."
Everyone looked at me with assuming eyes.
It may be my dad, but I wasn't the one who told him to expel three adults —
They're too old for college anyway. I rolled my eyes before putting my head down. I still feel their gazes, and I wish to rip their eye sockets off.
I closed my eyes, begging for the day to be over.
