Chapter 6

Jade's pov

So the weekend is still a few days away and I get the urge to cancel every minute.

I have said yes and that's it.

You are going Jade no matter what.

Well shit

So the next day pretty much went the same . Aaron started irritating me as much as he could. He wouldn't stop following me. He would make efforts to talk with me, get to know me. It was unnerving. One look in his eyes and I was lost. So lost I  risk revealing my mask. It felt, when he looked in my eyes he could  see through me. See the scared little girl I am. The one who would try and hide under the blankets when she heard the frightening sound of thunder. Who could not sleep without a night light, the girl who is afraid of the dark. I have tried keeping that girl on leash. No one should feel it. No one should think I am still scared. That he will still come after me. If I show it, they will worry. They have other things to worry about than me.

So the day goes by and guess what? I wind up being Casper pick- up- line-punching-bag. Yep that's what I named it. I mean he stopped throwing flirty comments to Lilly after Xander confronted him earlier during lunch. And for the rest of the  damn day I wind up being the one he throws his god aweful pick up lines.
He says he wants to 'try it before using it'

I told him that I'll never be interested and moved on with my day.
This time on the way back, Drake catches a ride with Aaron and me and I let Aaron drive.

After reaching home and reading some chapters of a book. I finally get up and run out of things to do.

I started doing my homework. Halfway through my phone rang.
I saw Damien's name come up and picked it up.
“Hey”
“whats up”
“Just studying, why?”
“Wanna have a cup of coffee?”
“ I'm craving for a burger right now”
“Well then let's head to Mac D”
“Okay”
“ I am coming to pick you up”
“I'll be down in a minute”

I a threw in a hoodie and went downstairs. Damien just lives 5 minutes from here so he will be here any moment.
I sat on the sofa and was scrolling through Instagram when Aaron comes and sits with me.
I look at him and notice he is already staring back at me. He smiles at me and is about to say something when
I hear two honks and I get up and start heading for the door when he grabs my wrist.
I look back and he says“where are you going?”
“Out”
“With Lilly?”
“No”
“Then?”
“Damien”
He frowns. After holding on to me for a minute longer he picks his wallet and walks towards the door.
“Where are you off too?” I ask.
“ I'm coming with. It's not a date right?”
I look down and wonder if Damien will be okay with that. I mean he wouldn't mind as Aaron is just a friend. Last time I and Damien hung out I felt him acting weird and I didn't really like it.
Plus it would be fun if he would come.

“Okay cool”
