chapter 15

Aaron's pov

I woke up with a thud. I had fallen off the fucking bed.

I stood up groaning when I saw Jade thrashing around.
She kept chanting no no no no.
I walked towards her and tried to calm her down. Maybe hold her like how I did when she woke up by that nightmare. But when I moved forward to touch her she thrashed around more.
" Jade, it's me.. Aaron."
She kept shaking and tears ran down her cheeks.
" Jade please..it's just me. Aaron Parker. I won't hurt you."

She shook her head and curled up onto the bed.
That's when the door opened and Xander came in. He saw Jade and looked at me.
" What the fuck are you doing?"
"What do you mean? I'm trying to calm her down."
That's when Lilly came back from the bathroom. I guess she slept on the other bed and I didn't realise.
" What the fuck Aaron?"
Both Lilly and Xander had anger in her eyes.

Lilly went towards Jade while Xander launched himself towards me and punched my face.

" Xander? What the hell man?" he tried to punch again and I blocked it. And dodged another punch.
" Xander, cut it out"

He wouldn't stop throwing punches and I was quite tired of dodging them. Plus we needed to pay attention to Jade. I kicked him hard around his torso and he fell towards the ground.
His eyes burning with hatred.
" Xander calm down"
" If you touch or go near Jade ever again"
"woah dude...I was just helping her."

" Shut up and get out of here. I don't want you near her."
I got really confused with his behaviour but didn't question him. I know he cares about Jade but I'm still his friend and leader for that matter.
He had stood up already and I punched his nose.
" Don't you speak to me like that again. I'm still your leader."
He staggered back.
" Well not anymore. I fucking quit and I'm going with Jade. Don't you make a move with her fucking again or else I'll fucking break your neck."

" Xander you need to fucking calm down the fuck down. And make a move on her..I didn't fuc-"

" Stop you guys! Both of you. Jade is still having a panic attack." Lilly shouted.
Xander turned and took jade in his arms while Lilly gave me a look and started packing her and Jade's stuff.

After Xander left it was only me and her in the room and a very awkward silence.
" What happened?Last night we came back late and when I did I saw you both sleeping together. She was sleeping so peacefully and I slept in the other bed instead of Xander's room just to make sure she didn't have any nightmares. And she didn't. She slept peacefully."

" She did, didn't she? I was pushed off the bed and when I stood up she was having a panicked attack."

I told her I got into bed with Jade and about how he didn't have a clue what had caused the panic attack.

She nodded and finished packing.

" You should probably come with us. Drake would be pissed. I feel you didn't do any wrong. It's just that her we 3 are very overprotective of her and Xander and Drake would flip shit if anything happens to her."

" I never expected him to be like this."

" I wouldn't expect him to be any less. For years I didn't make a move on him because I thought that he was in love with her. He was but he got over it. He thinks of her as a sister. After what happened to her we all feel extremely overprotective."

" what happened to her"
Lilly smiled sadly.
" It's not my place to tell."

I give her a short nod and go to my room to pack my bag.
Reece is snoring with Alicia in his bed and I assume that everyone else must be to.

I go out and see Lilly waiting for me.
I help her and take Jade's bag from her hand and walk towards the car. I place it in the back and then notice Lilly and Xander talk.

Xander walks up to me.
" Hey man I'm sorry. I can't see Jade like that. None of us can. I'm sorry I overreacted."
" I have no idea what made you act the way you did, but I'll not tolerate any shit like that from now on. I was trying to help her. That's it."
He nods and mumbles a sorry.
I See that Jade is sleeping in the back.
I climbed into the back but make no move towards her. Instead I just stare through the window the entire ride.

Also, what would be the scenario once I reach home.
Drake didn't need our help, so I just hope things went down well.
