Remind me why I keep loud, noisy songs as my alarm? Oh ya, cause I can't wake up otherwise. I am definitely not a morning girl. I hate waking up early and I hate going to school.

I hurried off to the bathroom and had a warm bath. I wore a simple hoodie with jeans and ran downstairs to grab some breakfast.

"Good morning dad" I called as I saw him making pancakes.

I grabbed the cereal bowl and milk and quickly finished my breakfast.

"Jade, Aaron Parker will be coming to stay here for couple of weeks. Is that okay with you?"

Oh on, not him again. I will have to ask Lilly if she is free today.

Wait did he say he will be coming for a couple of weeks. I can't stay that long out of the house right?

Damn, he will definitely notice me now.
I gulped and nodded.

My brother and Aaron are best friends. Aaron is also the the leader of the local gang , Evan Parker's son.

He is the player of school and has all girls drooling over him. Drake, my brother is a year elder than him.

He wants to be a part of the gang and is already Aaron's bodyguard/ best friend.

It isn't that Aaron doesn't know how to fight, I have seen him in action and boy, he definitely can throw a punch.
He is trained in kickboxing and had a blue belt in Taekwondo.
The thing I don't get is his dad is overprotective of him and cares a lot for his safety. I mean he can defend himself right? I've seen him training with my brother. He's very good.

I grabbed my bag and drive to school. I have always kept to myself and normally ignore everybody at school. I know that's kinda rude but I personally am a major introvert contrasting to my middle school social life. I guess people change.
Though I still like hearing gossip and get all of it from my best friend, Lilly Sharma.

As I reach school, almost instantly I see, Lilly waving at me. I smile as I walk towards her.

" Xander asked me out!", she said.

Xander was her childhood crush.
He was also my second best friend and I finally convinced him to ask Lilly out. He had gone through what he would say to her with me so many times...I could literally recite his entire 'will you go out with me on a date' speech.

Judging by my face her excitement knocked down completely.
"And you already knew that, didn't you"
I laughed and nodded.
We walked down the hall, to the lockers as she told me about her 'moment' with him and I couldn't help but squeal.
"I have been shipping you guys since three fucking years, so you better make be your bridesmaid at your wedding or I will never give the tickets to"

She jumped, a look of astonished horror on her face," You didn't! Tell me you didn't manage to buy the tickets to the game!"

She literally happy danced and hugged me," Omg thank you so much"

"Well I was going to go with you, but in the honour of Xander finally having the balls of asking you out, I'll give you'll the tickets. I'm not into sports anyway"

She stopped dancing and looked at me with her mouth open and then started another happy dance like a 5 year old child. I laughed.

Well I did get 3 tickets but..
They just started dating and I don't want to be third wheeling especially if they are going to restrain themselves from kissing in front of me so I will give my brother the extra ticket, he can give it to one of his friends cause he is already going. Actually, he might just give it to Aaron.

Plus I wasn't going to spend the day in the house listening to music, my brother and Aaron screaming at the tv while seeing sports or trying to beat each other in video games.
I'll be alone at home. That will be awesome I'll finally get some peace to finish the a whole book in a day.

Speaking of Aaron,
I always managed to stay out of Aaron's way. Yes I found him hot and I would swoon when I would spot them sparring in the backyard shirtless.

But as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't know I exist. Literally. I wouldn't even be suprised if he didn't know that his best friend had a sister.

Drake wouldn't tell him cause he, like every brother was protective. Him just a little bit more. He would hate it if I would listen to what was going on in the gang.

Papa wouldn't hide anything, but Drake preferred to keep me a secret to the entire world of criminals, including his best friend.

So whenever Aaron Parker comes over either I lock myself in the room or go out for the entire day.
I don't want him to notice me cause I don't want to get involved more than I already am.

Pulling away my thoughts from their I heard Lilly mumbling something like

" cool, come over"

I nodded and skipped to my locker already knowing the bell was about to ring and hurried in removing my books.

That's when I bumped into a wall(Or that's what I thought), I glanced up and saw blue eyes staring back at me. So much for him not noticing me.

Sunday (night)
_~_~_~ Aaron's pov _~_~_~

I knocked at my father's door . He never called for me unless it was gang work and I wasn't too keen on it as I was too lazy to go kill someone. I heard a faint come In as and I opened the door.

"Sit down" he ordered.

I nodded and sat down on the chair opposite him.

He started, " Aaron I need you to live at Liam's house for at least a week. There has been lots of attacks these days and I can't risk you living here" He paused.

Fuck, who does he think I am, I am not going to run because there is danger. I know how to fight and I can defend my self pretty well. I don't give a damn if there is danger

he still can't think of me as a child, " Dad I can defend myself pretty well, I am not leaving-"

" son let me finish, yes I know that you can defend yourself pretty well, but let me warn you the scorpion gang has made alliances with powerful gangs to take us down. They are planning something big and I can't risk thinking about you. I don't want to discuss this with you further, you are going."

I got up furiously and slammed the door shut. I walked towards my room and removed my clothes before going to the shower and having a cold shower. I came out and went to sleep.

The next day I fought with dad once more, I can't be treated as a freaking kid. I drove myself to school and walked down the hall. I had to talk this out with Drake.

I spotted him near his locker flirting with some chick. I walked towards him when I bumped into something. My eyes instantly met with the mesmerising hazel eyes.

She looked pretty suprised and I held her gaze for as long as I could.

That's when Xander, a mutual friend called her and she broke the gaze and left. Leaving me confused.
And a little bit in awe.
