Jade's pov
I woke up to the familiar scent and scene of my bedroom. I frowned as I recovered the memories of last night.
Why did Aaron leave all of a sudden?
That's when the door opens and is see Drake walk in shirtless. He sees me and smiles.
“ Rise and shine butterfly” I smile and I hear him say my nickname. Ever since we watched Hannah Montana when we were small the song Fly away butterfly from the movie has stuck to me. My dad, brother and I loved it. Since then Drake has called me his little butterfly.
I get up and get ready silently praying that nothing too serious happened yesterday. I see Drake's bruises and cuts but I don't press on information.
“ Good morning” I say instead
“ what's so good about this dreadful morning?”
“ um.. the sun is up and it's a new day and a new chance—”
“don't throw that shit on me”
I laugh,“okay”
“ there is something I need to tell you”
“yeah?”
“ I won't be coming to Casper's cabin tomorrow....um gang work. But Aaron and Xander will be there. Lilly is coming too”
“ yeah okay”
Its always been like this. Always. After mom's death. Drake has always had so much work he barely has time for me. Though he improved. He doesn't try to skip dad's Sunday family dinner and we have some sibling moments but I think he wants to stay away or wants me to stay away from him or the gang.
He goes down stairs as I go to the bathroom.
After I get ready I set out to Aaron's house wanting to know what went down last night. I ask Drake for a lift and reach at the house after a 20 min drive.
Drake gives me a quick hug telling me to keep safe. I haven't gotten use to that yet. After what happened it's really scared him. It's scared me too but I don't want it to get to me. If I think about it I go into this deep dark hole and I don't want to think about it. It's been two years and my nightmares have reduced but not too much and I fear I will start getting them soon as my birthday is only a few weeks ahead.
I ring the bell and wait for someone to open. Soon I come face to face with a nice lady maybe in her mid 40's with a kind warm smile. I can see she has Aaron's eyes. No...Aaron has her eyes. She's his mother.
“ Hello Mrs Parker”
“ Jade! It's so good to finally meet you. Drake has spoken a lot about his little sister.”
I smile unsure of what to say.
“ Well I'm sure you have come for Aaron. I'll go get him. Come in, come in”
I enter his house and gape at its beauty. It's a house with old designs but it has a little of modern touch too.
I sit on the sofa waiting for Aaron when I see him enter from what I think is the kitchen shirtless and a cookie in his hand.
“Jade?”
“oh hey”
“ what are you doing here?”
“ You left um.... Abruptly last night. Just wanted to see if things were okay.”
“ Oh, Ya they are good. Everyone is just a little bit shaken up, nothing more.”
I looked at him trying figure out what to say when he just shook his head and smiled.
“how about breakfast?”
At the mention of food my stomach growled and I nodded. He grabbed his jacket and wallet and I fumbled with my sling.
These sling purses are really annoying.

Aaron pulled over at Mac Donald's and walked over to my side and pulled the door for me.
“ Since when did you become such a gentleman?” I laughed as we walked past the clown sitting on the bench.
He smiled,“ Since I met you”
I leaned closer a bit,“ Really?”
He leaned a little closer,“ Really.”
I leaned back and got up walking towards the counter I looked back at him and shrugged,“ Okay”
He smiled and laughed. These are some of the weirdest moments one can have.
“ so did you start packing?”
“ packing?”
“ Tomorrow we have to leave for Casper's cabin remember?”
Um. No. I'm still pretty stressed about going. Last night I talked to Lilly. She said it will give me a break and it will alright. I mean, it's a trip to a Cabin, in the middle of a forest with very little cell service. What possibly could go wrong? And thats why for some reason, packing just slipped my mind.
I gulped and looked at him.
He started laughing.
I looked down, embarrassed.
He smiled,“ You forgot didn't you? Of course you did.”
I frown at him. Yeah I forgot. So what? He can't make fun of me like this. That's not fair. I forget sometimes. I'm human he can't just—
“ Stop overthinking. I'm not insulting you. I just find your forgetful behaviour cute okay? That's it. Now turn that frown upside down. We are going to get ice cream.”
At the mention of ice cream my interest perked up up 100%. I forgot all I was thinking earlier. I just wanted that a ice cream. My mind filled up with images of Cookies and cream ice cream. I eagerly nodded and we walked towards the ice cream after finishing the burger and fries.
I didn't like that we had to wait to complete the the food till I get my ice cream. I love cookies and cream. You can't judge me. Cookies and cream and Nutella are bae.

I picked out cookies and cream from the ice Cream Shop and licked away the taste of heaven.
Aaron observed me and shook his head with a knowing smile.
Why does he find me so cute anyways? It's like he finds me cute all the time. I'm not a baby. Maybe one day I'll wear something that will make his jaw drop. Maybe I'll wear something that will make me look Hot.
Yeah that's exactly what I'll do. I look at him and give him a smile.
“ You um... y-you have something on the side of your mouth.”
Um I try to touch the side of my mouth desperately trying to search the 'thing'
I give up and stick my head's towards him silently asking him to remove it from from my face.
He looks at me and smiles. He leans closer. More closer until our nose is almost touching. His breath fans the side of my face and my breath hitches and I can feel my heart hammering in my chest.
Our noses are practicing touching until he twists his neck and starts touches his lips to the side of my mouth. He kisses and sucks a little and air suddenly seems hotter. I close my eyes as I the only this I feel is our breaths mingling and his lips barely touching mine
He licks off the ice cream. He suddenly stops and stands up straight and smirks.
What the hell just happened.

Why do I suddenly feel disappointed? And why do I feel so hot?!
Unknown pov
I see her with Aaron standing near the counter. I see her Blushing. He seems to kiss her and my hands ball up into a fist.
I'm the one she is suppose to be with. I have to make her like me. Not that son of a bish. I see him lean forward again and I subconsciously tighten my fists.
If I could I would punch him right here. Right now. But now is not the time . My time will come. Ive waited. I'll wait some more. Collect more information. After all I already know his secret.
The one he doesn't want Jade to know.
I have to wait just for the perfect moment. Then I'll tell her .
I will ruin her trust in him. Then after I take her once again she will lean to me. She will love me. She is MINE.
I have to do it for myself.
I have to do it for the gang.
