“Just keep swimming”
Aaron's pov
I quickly slide over to Jade and put my hand on her. She shakes out of her thoughts and blinks her eyes rapidly.
“ Are you okay?” I was suprised with my own gentleness.
She nods but doesn't speak.
I know they need me here but I would rather hang out with Jade than have more blood on my hands. Plus I can protect the inner circle.
And a second plan is always necessary.
If anything goes down Casper, Reece, Edmund, Edward,Alicia and Xander will literally be the last line for defence.
I shake out off my thoughts and bring my attention to Jade. I found her looking at me and I smirked.
“ Like what you see?”
She quickly looked away and I saw a red tinch was on her cheeks.
So cute
“ So all set?”
She nods and smiles at her before. Getting up I take her bag and put it in my car. I then see her coming and open the door for her. She smiles and enters the car and I smile while going around and hopping into the driver's seat.
I let her choose the music the music and she connects the car's Bluetooth with her's.
Then she plays songs which are in another language?
I glanced towards her confused as she hums to the tune of the music.
What language is this? Maybe Urdu? Hindi?
I can't guess.
She suddenly laughs as she sees my puzzled expression.
“ It's bollywood”
Ah so it's Hindi.
I hear as she starts singing the chorus of the song and smile as I start humming to to catchy beat myself.
“ I never knew you liked bollywood”
She smiled,“ My aunt married an Indian so whenever I use to go to their house, that is every vacation, they use to teach me a little bit of Hindi. I am well versed in Hindi now and I sometimes see Hindi movies. Have heard of Bahubali the end? I mean it's not bollywood but Tollywood. But I saw it dubbed in Hindi”
“Tollywood?”
“ Oh it's Telegu. As in the movie is from South India”
“ oh”
I wonder how many languages are spoken in India. That country is so diverse.
“ Maybe one day we can see a Bollywood movie dubbed in English” I continued.
She smiled now excited and I now knew to except a rant. I listened carefully as she started telling me about what she wanted to show me and some more things about bollywood, her rant even continued to a show called Koffee with Karan. Which I have heard of before.
Almost all my worry of the shoot out tonight vanished as I listened to her cute rant. It made me relax. Hearing her voice, her excited squeal and her smile. My eyes were mostly on the road, but whenever we would hit a signal, I would sneak a look.
We reached 3 hours later. I stepped out and removed her bag as well as mine. The cabin had 5 rooms and a hall with 3 bathrooms and I quickly took her bag to the room she would be sharing with Lilly and maybe Xander.
She follows me and I sense her stop at the hall. I place her bags and walk out noticing that Edmund, Edward and Alicia are already here.
“This is a cosy place” I hear Alicia saying. This is her first time visiting too.
I smile at Alicia and she walks up to me. “Hi”
I smile at her. Alicia has just been introduced in the gang two months ago. She has a black belt in karate and is good at boxing. Won a lot of matches. She has got the beauty asset too. Not meant in a wrong way but she can use her figure and beauty to the gangs advantage. Though it won't seem like this when you meet her first. She has a very gentle personality. She is soft spoken and shy at times but when out there she can act like a totally different person. She is currently dating Reece.
I introduce her to Jade . While they talk I take that time to question Edmund and Edward about the guns and traps and their locations. We can't take any risks. We have basement here, a room with various guns and devices. It's has multiple computers and though generally one might think there is no cell service over here, in reality this Cabin has high speed internet connection.
Soon Reece ,Casper, Xander and Lilly arrive.
Everyone is just talking having some drinks when a very drunk Casper jumps up on the dining table and shouts “Last to the lake will give a lap a lap dance to the first.” I realise that I am nearest to the lake so I jog over their while others rush towards it. I arrive first and dive into the lake. The cold water sends shivers down my spine.
I wait for others to catch up. Reece comes second followed by Alicia then Casper, then Lilly and Xander jump together. Lilly stays back and just stares at us.
I get out of the freezing water and over to Jade.
“Hey is everything all right?”
“No, it's just this took me by surprise.” I laugh, “ It's always like this. You will get use to Drunk Casper real soon.”
She shakes her head and purses her lips in an amused smile.
Drunk Casper can also be quite competitive. Though others will away off going fully drunk, Casper doesn't let it away him off the job. Infact, he can work twice as fast if we portray that Reece can beat him in decoding shit.
“ I guess I owe you a lap dance right?”
Her words suprise me. And I glanced and notice her now very nervous face.
“You don't need to give me a lap dance”
“ Where is the fun in that Parker ?” Casper calls out from behind. I glanced at him giving him one of my famous death stares. It makes any man pee in his pants but this guy right here just rolled his eyes.
I hold her hand rather tight and drag her into the water she yelps as I throw her in following her her in.
She throws some water on me and gives a tiny squeak when I splash back. It's quite amusing and we keep laughing and throwing water at each other till I spot the narrow way leading to the waterfall . I grab her palm and take her and lead her to the place filled with my best childhood memories.
As soon as she sees it I hear her suck a breath and she gapes as the beautiful waterfall. I look at it's beauty, the sound of gushing water fills my hears as I stand still staring at it.
I remember Mia and how we use to come here with Casper and Reece and her friend Nora. How we use to sneak into the cave that located behind the waterfall and make it our hideout as we use to hide from Reece and Casper.
Tears pool my eyes as I recall that memory. How I miss her. Only if she were here tonight.
I then notice Jade looking at me with a confused expression.
“Are you okay?”
I nod not trusting myself to speak.
It hurts to lose your twin.
