CHAPTER FIVE

It's been a while since I've talked to my little ballerina. She has been busy building her new home with Adam. Setting those two up was the best thing I've ever done! So this afternoon I just decided to finally write her an email.

My little ballerina,

I miss you terribly sweetheart! It feels like it was yesterday that I found you again. I miss our talks, our giggles, and obviously I miss our mischievous times. What I haven't told you yet is that I'm a little bit over two months pregnant.

Yeah, I know I should have told you earlier, but I didn't expect that we would both move so far away from each other. My new job is keeping me pretty busy as well.

I took the position, Em. I fucked up big time and I had to leave home. I had to leave to clear up my mind. With Nathan next to me this was next to mission impossible.

On the bright side, Colt supports me. He's my guardian angel, Em. I had no idea what an amazing person he was. He's extraordinary, Emily; and I'm not talking about business.

I had to leave behind Angus though. He's getting a little old to be flying around... Dante has become really good with the animals after adopting José. I'm sure you'll be laughing at me right now cause I was the one who persuaded him that Angus wouldn't deal well with a cat.

Trust me, Dante tried to dodge my furry bullet more than once. He even proposed to fly me to my job with his jet just so I could take Angus with me. But it's just for a few months. I miss terribly his little muzzle...

It's been already two months since Jake and I moved here. Dante has been calling me twice a day in the best case scenario, and has visited me already twice, trying to persuade me to go back to the firm, or at least just in Manhattan.

I caught Jake ditching that cute secretary he was flirting with on our arrival just to continue reading more maternity books and I couldn't stop laughing! At least one of us is going to be prepared for the delivery!

On the downside to creating this "monster", I can't munch on anything I wish. He keeps slapping from my hand anything that's not considered to be good or healthy for the baby and replaces it with something that the books recommend...

As for me, trying to be positive in all of this maternal madness that Jake has been so engrossed with... I sleep; a lot. Since I can't eat whatever the hell I want like every normal pregnant woman, I also didn't earn in weight.

But in the end of the day, I'm feeling very grateful that Jake followed me. I feel serene... safe. I have to go now love. Jake's waiting for me so we can go to the movies.

I'll probably fall asleep when we get there. I swear, my energy levels are sulking furiously! Give Adam a huge smooch by me! I miss you every day a little more little ballerina.

"Hey gorgeous, are you coming?"

I had been staring at my monitor for a while before Jake's soft tapping on the door popped my daydreaming bubble. I rushed to press "send" before turning off my computer.

"Yeah! I'll be there in two minutes Jake!"

"Take your time, I'll be in the living room."

"Ok!"
