CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
The moment we got in the Impala, I threw my heels on the car's flooring and sighed with pleasure as I pulled my legs up on the seat. I smiled dreamily as my eyes scanned the scenery, unable to believe what had just happened.
"You look like a delicacy..."
I turned around with my eyebrow risen, looking at Nathan's smitten look. My eyes glided down to his lips, making my heart tumble uncontrollably into my chest. I licked my lips and chuckled as he sighed deeply.
"You don't look half bad, Mister. But please... You should leave me alone. I'm afraid I'm engaged."
"But you're so young and ethereal. Damn the luck of the man who has captured such a creature!"
"You're such a dork," I giggled while shaking my head as the car came to a stop.
I didn't even notice that we were already outside our building. For a moment there I found myself wishing that this ride would last just a tiny bit longer. I moaned as I put on my shoes once again, just right on time before Nathan opened the door. He was extending his arm for me to take, standing in front of me, not saying a word and curving a small yet seductive smile. I take his hand and smile sheepishly as we come nose to nose.
Nathan rests a hand behind my head and pulls me up against his chest. His touch is both electrifying and soothing as his lips slowly caress mine. I slowly melt into the kiss as his arms wrap tightly around me.
My fingers tangle into his hair, feeling the soft moan that escapes him vibrating against my lips. His tongue swirls between my lips and makes me greedy and begging until I feel something cold on my skin.
"What?" I mumble as I touch my skin with my fingertips.
"What's wrong?" He whispers as he plays with a curl of my hair.
My eyes were mesmerized, as my lips stretched into a smile. A soft, white fluff slowly drifted from the sky, until it land on Nathan's disheveled hair. I ran my fingers through his hair and chuckled.
"Snow," I replied calmly.
Moments later snow was dancing, swirling around us. I shrilled happily, softly clapping my hands the moment Nathan's face illuminated by his gorgeous smile.
"Come on baby girl, let's go home before it gets worse!"
I placed my hand into his and allowed my eyes to sink into his hazel lakes. It almost felt as if the golden flakes of his eyes were even more luminous than before, if that was even possible.
"Wait," I mumbled. "Can you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Nathan looked at me questioningly.
"That... music?"
"I don't hear anything, angel."
"But I'm sure I'm hearing something."
Probably accustomed to my curious nature, Nathan chuckled as I took off without him, trying to investigate where the sound was coming from. My cloak was turning white when I had finally realized from which way the sound came.
"Where are you going, crazy?"
"I wanna find out where the sound is coming from!"
I pulled my dress up and started to run until my feet felt sore from the heels.
