Chapter 10: Feelings

Erin's POV

I woke up and it was morning, Kaylee was looking right at me

"What?" I asked

"Why did you say you were going to the bathroom, and I find you up here, sleeping?" she said

"I don't remember... it's all a blur.." I lied, I didn't wanna lie but.. I don't think I had a choice.

"What happened when Dumbledore asked to speak with you? Draco said you were out there with your mum, isn't she a muggle?"

"She is, and it's a long story." I began to tell her everything, I didn't cry, no matter how much I wanted to.

"Erin, I'm sorry..." she said quietly

I didn't tell her what happened with Snape, she'd freak out if I did tell her. "I'm just shook up about it, I must've came up here and passed out. Please, don't tell anyone. I'm not ready to tell other people yet." I said

"I won't, Rin."

"It's 4 AM, I'm going to go see Dumbledore." I lied again, I was going to go see Snape

"Alright, I'm gonna go back to bed. See ya later." She laid back down and I walked to Snape's classroom

I walked in and he was sitting down with his head in his hands

"Is this a bad time?" I asked

"No," he said with his head this in his hands, "Sit down."

"Alright." I did so

"Are you alright, Ms. Smith?"

"I think so, it was all so much to take it. No one to talk to about it."

"My parents are dead too, Smith.."

"I'm sorry.."

"They died a while ago, I've gotten used to it." he said

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked

"No, I just want to know how you're doing.. You seemed really.."

"Sad? Depressed? Shook? yeah, I'm all of those... knowing my actual parents are dead. But I'll have to get over it sooner or later." I said trying to smile

"Stand up.." he said as he stood up

"Okay?" I did as he said

He hugged me and rested his chin on my head, "You'll be okay, I promise, It's always going to be okay, Smith..."

I started to cry a little, "I haven't really cried since I was home, and I only cried a little when the Blaze thing happened... But I try not to show weakness..."

"It's okay to cry, you are allowed to cry.." he said quietly

"Thank you, Professor." I basically melted into his arms, it felt nice, being held by someone that I cared for deeply.

"You should probably go help your mom in her classroom. She might need help unpacking." We let go of each other, I smiled and nodded

"I'll see you later, Professor." I said and left

I walked down to my mothers classroom, I'm glad I get to see her more often

"Hello, mum." I said as I walked in

"Hi dearie. How are you?" She hugged me

"I'm fine, do you need any help?" I asked and she let go

"Um, nope. I think I'm fine, why are you up, it's 4:30?" she asked

"I couldn't sleep, plus I wanted to see you. How does dad feel about this?"
