Chapter 6: Winter

Erin's POV

Winter has came and Harry and I are the only ones in our group that are staying at Hogwarts for break. I don't want to go home, father might be there

"Are you feeling alright, Rin?" Harry asked snapping me out of thoughts

"Yes" I smiled

"You still seem shaken up about what happened" He looked at me

"I'm fine, that was a couple months ago. Just pray it won't happen again" I chuckled

"Wanna go hang out in the Common room?" he asked

"Yours or mine?"

"Mine, Gryffindor's is basically empty." he said

"Alright" I said and we started walking toward the common room and Snape turned around the corner, it's like every time I see him, my body stiffens and I start to stutter

"Ms. Smith" He nodded

"Professor?" I said shakily

"We will start sessions in 3 days so I can grade papers, unless you prefer to help me?" he said

"W-we'll see, Professor" I smiled and continued walking

"Do you have a thing for Snape?" Harry asked

"Is it obvious, and please don't judge me" I said

"I'm not judging, Rin." He smiled, "Friends don't judge each other."

"Right, thanks. I shouldn't get my hopes up, he is a teacher, and I'm a student." I laughed

"Miracles could happen." I heard from behind and turned around to see Dumbledore

"Professor Dumbledore! I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed

"Just a harmless crush, maybe more. Who knows." He smiled cheekily and walked away

"What the hell?" I laughed

"He is like that sometimes" Harry said, we made our way to the Gryffindor common room and he was right, there was no one there. Mostly everyone went home to their families.

"Why didn't you go home." Harry asked me

"I don't want to see my dad. Home isn't as great as it used to be."

"Abusive? That's kind of how my aunt and uncle are." he said

"I'm sorry. I forgot..." I hugged him and let go "It's nice to have someone to sorta relate to.."

"Yeah, Draco is kind of spoiled but I get he was around when whatever happened.. His parents want him to be Lucius, his father."

"Oh, wow.. I can kind of tell."

"We were never intended to be friends, It could've just been us four and no Draco. Hermione insisted we gave him a second chance, I'm pretty sure she had a thing for him at one point."

"Pretty sure she has a thing for Ron now. She got pretty upset when he kissed a girl at a party one night. Didn't come out of her room for 2 days." He sighed

"That's awful, but they'd be cute together." I smiled

Harry and I talked for hours without keeping track of time, by time I noticed it was 12 am and pas curfew, "I should get to bed, if a teacher catches me. I'll be in deep shit." I laughed
