Chapter 11: The Pond

Erin's POV

I walked to my mum's office and she was talking to Snape, hopefully he wasn't telling her what happened... I don't need her worrying about me....

"Professor Snape.." I smiled

"Ms. Smith, I'll see you later. You too Mrs. Smith." he left and smiled slightly at me

"Mum, what were you two talking about?" I asked

"Just asking how you're doing in his class, nothing to worry about dearie." she said

"Oh, what do you want for Christmas? I'm asking people." I smiled

"Honey, your love is just enough," she smiled and cupped my face, "But I would that necklace I sent you a picture a while ago." she laughed

"Alright, mum." Have a good day

I walked towards the Great Hall, I have already decided what to get others for Christmas.

"Rin! How are you?" Hermione ran towards me and gave me a hug

"I'm fine, not worry over it, Hermione." I sighed and she let go

"Blaze got expulsion, you should be happy." she said

"I am, he can't hurt anyone anymore." I smiled

"You don't really show a lot of emotion." she said

"I try not to appear weak, I refuse to let people think it."

I felt someone put their hands over my eyes, "Guess who." I already knew it was Draco

"I'm assuming, Mr. Malfoy?" I chuckled

He let go and stood beside me "You know every time."

"Because you're the only person who does it." I nudged him.

"Are you going to Hogsmeade today, Rin?" Hermione asked

"Yeah, I still have to get some shopping done. For a lot of people. I haven't had Christmas in a while, Jim usually never let us have it.." I said, of course I told them about what happened with Dumbledore, why wouldn't I, their my only friends...

"I'm sorry, well we'll be your first Christmas in a while!" she smiled

"Has Kaylee come down?" I asked

"I went by your room to see if you were there, I knocked and she said from the other side you were with your mum." Draco said

"Well, let's go get her." I said

We went up to my room, I had already introduced Kaylee and Hermione, she was happy to have another girl. We opened my door and Kaylee was in bed with... a Hufflepuff boy.. I think his name was Bryce or something

"Kaylee! Put a damn sock on the door for Christ's sake!" I exclaimed

"Nah, your reaction is funny. I'll be down in 10 minutes." she said

We all walked out and went to sit at Slytherin table today. Breakfast went by, we went to Hogsmeade and I bought everyone a gift, including Professor Snape. I went to a shop and all I had to do was describe what they were like and she gave me the perfect gift for them, pretty useful.

It was around 2 AM and I couldn't sleep, that Hufflepuff boy was on our couch. He knows if he touches my bed, living hell would break loose. I decided to take a walk down to the lake and just sit in front of it, the breeze felt nice. It was freezing but I liked the feeling... I brought a blanket to wrap around me. I heard footsteps behind me, I didn't care if a professor yelled at me. I was at peace and could probably go to sleep.

"Smith? Why are you out? It is way past curfew" I heard Snape from behind me.

"I like to sit here, it's peaceful.." I said

"I can't leave you out here by yourself." he said

"Then by all means, join me." I scoffed

He said beside me, "This is stupid, you know that right?"

"Yeah, but it calms me. Night terrors.."

"Do you have them a lot?" he asked

"I do now... I haven't in a while... but they started again."

After a couple minutes we talked about what calmed us and my night terrors... we both stood up, he hugged me "I'm sorry about what happened.." he said

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Professor Snape."

"Please call me Severus whenever were alone..." he said then lifted me chin up, we were in an embrace. "Your eyes... their.."

"Beautiful? I get that a lot, especially from Harry." I said

He kissed me deeply and I kissed back, I loved the feeling. Being close to him, he tasted of Whisky.. He stopped for a minute

"How does a little girl make me feel this way? It's ridiculous and absurd..." he said calmly and quietly and kissed me passionately and I kissed back with so many feelings. He pulled me closer if that was even possible... "I never thought I'd love anyone again... how does one more than half my age do that?..."

"You love me?" I said quietly..

"Of course..." he let go of me, "Someone is coming. Close your eyes"

I did so and heard "Severus? Honey? what are you two doing out here?"

"I found Ms. Smith sleep walking." He shook me and I opened my eyes.

"What? Where am I?" I asked shakily

"The pond. Smith." he said

"Mum? why are you out here?" I asked

"I saw two people and I didn't know if you guys were students sneaking out or something. I checked just in case. Rin, you should get back to bed, it's freezing out here." She walked back up and after a couple minutes, we started walking back as well

"That was close, good thing you heard them... My mother would've freaked and like move a million miles away.." I chuckled

"Of course." We were by his classroom now, he looked around and kissed me really quick

"Goodnight, Severus..." I smiled and walked back to my room

I walked in and I noticed the couch was empty, I saw the Hufflepuff in my bed.

"Lumos...." I looked at him "I think the fuck not, Hufflepuff." I literally kicked him out of my bed, onto the floor.

"What the hell?" He got up

"Don't ever touch my bed again, Badger. I'll do worse next time."

"Bloody hell, people from Paris are crazy!" He said

"Nox." My wand went out, "Don't touch our damn beds without permission and we won't go crazy. Go sleep on the couch or with Kaylee, just never my bed again. Got it?"

"Y-yes" he stuttered and went and got in bed with Kaylee..

Tomorrow is Christmas, I fell asleep quickly, I had already placed peoples presents, except for Severus, I wanted to give it to him personally. Make it more special.. Y'know? Well hope my first Christmas in a while won't be a disaster...
