Samara's POV

I've wasted two days already.

And in case you don't complete this work today Sam, there's really no use of your existence!!!

I rush to the gym and find him

"Madam You have to stop troubling me so much. That man doesn't want to meet you! " The guy at the reception of the gym said clearly irritated with my behaviour

"Please yaar. It's a bit personal. Allow me to meet him" I said giving him a one hundred rupee note.

"Did you guys breakup or something?" He asked.

"Something like that " I said as I rushed to the treadmill.

Please accept my offer.

"Ey Villain! Please at least listen to the deal. I've been begging you since 3 days." I request him

He got down the treadmill and pulled me aside and from there pulled me outside and pushed me towards a wall.

"You! Listen to me! I'm not helping you out in anyway. " He said with a Stern look as he pushed my body against the wall.

"The next time you follow me I swear I'll kill you and then make your death look like an accident." he said

Awwiee Soo cute!

"Okay then I just thought I'll give Veer Kapoor a chance to get back to the team-"

"You think I have a chance? How do you even know that I'm innocent" he asked absolutely surprised.

I knew it.

"Yes. And the team needs you for the next tour" I said confidently.

He wanted to say something in his defense but gave up.

"Fine. What do you want from me?" He asked

"They said you were involved with some gangster so obviously you've done a lot of crimes" I said with a pause only to find him turning his face away in guilt.

"A simple crime - kidnap someone" I said.

"Alright. Come back after two hours" he said.

Unfortunately due to few situations I reached an hour late. And I saw him waiting for me with his bike.

"Why are you late? Is everything fine?" He asked with concern in his voice.

"Nothing. I went to bring this." I said handing him over a jar of coins.

"What on Earth is this?" He asked surprised.

"Your fees" I said giving them to him.

"This just contains coins" he said.

"So aren't coins money?" I said sticking my tongue out.

"Whatever I hired a cab. Where are we going?" He asked

"The mental asylum on the outskirts of the city." I said smiling.

"Oh so basically your home" He asked seriously.

"No we are supposed to kidnap someone from there." I said

The cab arrived and we got in.

"Oops. I'm sorry I forgot introducing myself. Where are my manners? Damn it!" I said as he seemed least interested.

Rude! Very much!

"Waise I'm Samara and I know you." I said

"Veer Kapoor" he said as if I asked him the name of his biggest enemy.

"You're not Veer Kapoor. You are Mr.Melancholy mushroom"

"Acha Listen to a joke! " I asked curious

"Samara please I'm not interested" he said sternly.

I looked at him confused and with innocent puppy eyes.

"I'm sorry but yeah I'm not interested" he said.

"Okay let's talk about the deal." I said diverting the topic.

"Yeah fine" he said.

I showed him the picture of a kid.

"Just kidnap him and bring him out." I said.

"Fine" he said as the driver applied the brake.

We had reached the hospital.

They call it the "asylum" as if it were a place of refuge, it is anything but. It is a place for those no-one knows what to do with to be forgotten by the wider world. It is prison for the sick. They take your dignity along with your clothes, talk to you as if you were a challenged child and feed terrible food in small potions. And then they watch, record any negative emotions, praise dull and passive behaviours.

The asylum is a place to escape, a place of trauma and fear. It is a place to forget once the haunting memories fade.

"Samara" Veer said shaking me.

"Yeah I'm fine" I said

"Are you okay? You don't seem like you are!" He said as his humanity began dominating every other emotion on his face.

"Veer Just be safe and the kid will bring you from the secret passage" I said as he confidently entered the hospital

Meanwhile I called the Child's parents and they reached the hospital.

Veer was successful in bringing the kid out of that toture room. I was so proud.

The kid ran to their parents as Veer walked up to me.

"Who's this kid?" He asked curious.

"He was brought here during a trafficking case.He is actually from Rajasthan. I often come here and I noticed that he is a normal kid and around a week I noticed that a couple were searching for him. They begged along the streets and paid me the amount to bring their son back. And that amount Mr.Veer Kapoor is the same coins you felt ashamed in accepting" I said

"Samara You are just..." He seemed lost for words.

I looked at my mobile

Shit

It's 1:45 A.M already.

"I have to go Veer. Just make sure your mobile is turned on. You might be recruited back into the team anytime soon" I said as I took an auto home.

Veer's POV

This girl was totally weird. She spoke weirdly and such a childish behavior and now such matured actions

The parents came up to me asking where Samara was and that they really were thankful to both of us.
The boy came forward and hugged me muttering a thanks

Right when they were about to leave, a thought struck me.

"Excuse me Wait please" I said as I handed over the money jar to them

"Samara asked me to give this back to you. I don't take any fees. Also this is some extra money just in case you need it." I said as they looked at me with tears in their eyes.

I took the same cab home and paid the cab driver an extra 500.

Today was something different. I felt so happy

All because of Samara.

But wait!

Did she go home?

I don't even have her number.

What If I don't meet her again?

With all these thoughts in my head I fell asleep unaware that tomorrow would probably be more different than it is today.
