Anamika's POV

"Do you love me Anu?" He asked me.

"Does it matter?" I asked hurt evident in my tone.

He came from behind and gave me a hug.

"It does. It's the only thing that matters." He said giving me a peck on my cheek.

"I'm sorry I'm just scared Anwar will take you away from me" he said.

"He won't. I'll tell him that we need to end our relationship. So that I can start mine with you" I said.

"Didn't our relationship begin already?" He questioned.

"I guess so" I said when I realized something.

Veer has been dodging the topic.

"Veer wait" I said.

"What happened Anu?" He asked concerned.

"Stop avoiding the topic" I said when he realized what I had meant.

"Alright Anu. I'll tell you" he said.

"Tell me then I'm listening" I replied.

"It's Abhimanyu. He's dead. Someone killed him." Veer said as I stood there in shock.

Of course I loathed Abhimanyu ever since he hid things from me regarding my disorder. He could tell Anwar but not me.

But I did not hate him so much that I wanted him dead.

"He was a good person" I said.

"That's the best part of you Anu you search for the good in people even if they are bad to you. Remember our last meeting with him where he hurt you Anu? He deserved a death worse than this " Veer said.

Before I could ask him how insensitive he had got A voice interrupted our conversation.

"I thought only I could call you Anu. Because I thought it was special. I didn't know everyone else began doing it to"

"Anwar! Hey!" I said casually walking up to him.

He looked so dejected and disappointed.

I gave him a hug.

"So it's over between us right?" He asked returning the hug.

"I'm sorry Anwar. But it is" I replied.

"Can we be friends at least? Nothing more?" He asked as Veer spoke up.

"Of course yes. How about a get together in a while?" Veer suggested.

Anwar nodded.

"Thank you Veer" Anwar said as Veer smiled at him.

"I'll call up Arjun and Pari. It'll be great. We could have a party" Veer said picking up his phone.

"Pari?" Anwar asked surprised as I was surprised too.

Who was she? Arjun's girlfriend?

"Pari is my schoolmate. She's back from London only two days ago" Veer said.

"Oh I knew someone with the same name so I asked" came the reply.

"Oh well you can ask her to join. If she wants and Anu's okay with it!" Veer advised.

"I'm okay with anyone except for Randhir" I spat.

"Yeah okay I obviously wouldn't invite him either" Veer said making a scoff.

After a five minutes of awkward silence, I asked Anwar.

"Why was the break up so easy for you?"
