Anamika's POV

"And here I add a little salt to it" he said as he kept cooking.

"And then I add all the other vegetables, and the herbs and the masala and done" he exclaimed.

"Anu Anu Baby come here no..." He called out.

"What do you want Veer?" I asked

"Just tell me how's the food? Go on taste it!" He offered.

"Wow. So delicious." I said as I tasted it.

"Really?" He asked excited.

"Yes you could be a MasterChef" I said.

"Wait let me check." He said as I bit my tongue.

"Shit" he said tasting it

"I realized I've put salt twice" he said face palming himself.

"That's okay Veer" I said comforting him.

"We'll have food at a hotel today. Tomorrow I'll cook again" he assured.

"Yeah fine." I said when he pulled me close to him.

"What.. what the hell Veer?" I asked pushing him away.

"What? Now I don't even have permission to do a little romance with my wife?" He questioned as I sighed.

Suddenly Bruno came running to us drenched in colors and barked.

"Bruno what did you do to yourself?" Veer questioned.

He barked at Veer and ran back to the hall.

Both of us walked into the Hall.

Vian moved like his knees were just hinges, wobbling to and fro before falling on his padded bottom. Then he clapped like it was all part of the plan and rolled to his stomach to get up again.

He resembled Veer and was as cute as hell.

He was dressed in a cute blue dress and those soft first shoes kids wear, the ones they can still feel the ground through.

Then from behind Bruno with a soft bark to light up the whole home.

Vian giggled, waving his arms for the pick-up he knew was coming, but before he was hoisted high he was on his bottom again.

Vian Veer Kapoor was my one year old son. To be precise our son but it was like watching a junior Veer Kapoor grow up.

"Vian come here let's go and play fetch with Bruno" Veer suggested as Vian began crawling right behind him.

Well I didn't want anything more in my life to be honest.

I was happy for whatever had happened Because it had made me strong and a warrior.

Arjun's POV

"So Arjun Bakshi, Please tell us what's Arjun's type of girl?" The interviewer asked as the crowd burst into cheers.

"A kind of woman is someone who can spar with me, is real and direct. More than physical attributes, I look for an interesting personality, though I won’t deny I find long and loose hair very sexy.” I replied.

"How was your experience prior to joining the film industry?" She asked.

"I have come out of nowhere and however far I reach, I will always keep looking back at where I started out from, which was nothing. Not even nothing. It was negative. I didn't know a soul in this industry, I didn't know this city." I replied.

"Did Arjun Bakshi ever fall in love with a girl he could never have?" Came the next question.

I giggled.

"Yes of course. She was my first love
I could never tell her that because...Of various reasons. But where ever she is I know she's happy and seeing her happy makes me happy too.I know I will never love someone with the same intensity again and I will love her till my last breath" I said as the interview ended.

Unknown person's POV

In your book titled The Voice within, you speak of alter ego's... So tell us do you have an alter ego?

All writers have alter ego's. It's as if they have these characters inside them and we probably fragment our soul into so many parts and each of them form a part in every story.

One candid question : Are you single?

Honestly it depends on who's asking. But then as I said we writers have alter ego's. If the writer is single the alter ego is committed and if we are committed the alter ego is single.

"Confused?"

Everyone nodded.

"Good. Let's keep it that way"

Why didn't Anwar end up with Anamika despite the love they had for each other? A guy from the crowd asked.

I knew who it was.

"Because he was supposed to end up with someone who loved him as deeply as he did. He's that kind of a guy you can flirt with and still talk to like he's a best friend." I replied confidently.

I gestured to my Manager that I would want to quit the interview now.

They agreed and wrapped up.

As everyone began leaving I walked up to him.

"Why are you avoiding me?" I asked

"Because my love shouldn't go unrequited" he answered.

"That's not the point" I said stopping him.

"You ignored me for two years straight. Do you even know how badly hurt I was?" He asked.

"I didn't. There was a particular reason why I did what I did" I questioned as he looked at me in surprise.

"Tell me I'm listening"

I removed my book and showed him the email ID on it

kashtilovesanwar@gmail.com

"You did?" He asked surprised.

"Yes Anwar. All the time but I was scared, I didnt know what to do" I answered.

"I mean I dont know how to say this but I think you're perfect" he remarked.

"Can't help with the fact I'm awesome" I said.

"So from Miss deep thoughts to Miss Best selling author huh?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Yes I guess" I said. "Did you-"

"I missed you" he said as he hugged me.

"I missed you too Anwar. Now if you're free Mr too deep thoughts can we go out for a coffee?" I asked

"Yeah why not!" He said

"Hold on a second, Give me your hand" I said

"Why?" He asked surprised.

"I'm not asking you to marry me. I'm just gifting you something" I said Removing the bracelet I had taken for him.

"I hope it's not a rakhi" he said

"No you idiot. It's not" I said as he wore it proudly.

"Shall we?" He asked

"Gladly" I said

"So Miss Preethi Arora tell me the actual reason why Anwar didn't end up with Anamika" he asked.

"Because I don't want to share you Anwar, whether it is in the book or in real life" I said

The twinkle in my eyes and the tinge of his faint smile told me that our story had finally begun.

The End.

Thank you!!!
