Chapter eleven

Veer's POV

I was practicing in my room when I noticed Hardik walk over to me

"Harry don't even think of disturbing me. I'm not in a good mood." I snapped at him.

"But Veer Bhai I just found out about the reporter who wrote that article!" He said.

"Which reporter? Which article? I don't even know what you're talking about." I said still running over the treadmill.

"Bhai the same article which BCCI had considered. The same one which brought you back to the team" he said.

All this while the only person who is responsible for me to get back on to the team was Samara.

And it's been 3 days since I met her

I don't even know where she is or how she is doing.

"Bhai did you even listen to what I said?" Harry asked

"No Harry. I don't want to." I replied.

"Even if she's a girl reporter" Harry asked emphasising the word "Girl"

"Yeah" I said curtly.

"Fine I'm already crushing over her. But I wonder how she looks." He said.

"Looks don't matter. Do they?" I asked getting down the treadmill.

"Yeah whatever. Imagine I'll get married to her in Maldives" he said as I burst out laughing.

"Veer Bhai I'm serious. She's the girl of my dreams." He said

"This is the third dream girl of yours this week whom you want to get married to" I replied and again continued to laugh.

"Fine if you want to meet her. Let's do it. What's her name? Give me her details" I said sipping my protein shake

"Her Name is Samara and she also works for the talk trends "

"What the absolute fuck!" I said when I looked at the details.

I checked for the phone number and it matched hers.

I called her up and the same response.

The number you are trying to reach is currently switched off.

I immediately called up Mr Afzal.

"Hello Anwar Afzal here. May I know who's speaking?"

"It's me Veer Kapoor. I need a help" I said my breath increasing it's speed.

"Yeah sure Mr Kapoor. Tell me how can I?"

"Anwar Was Samara the person who wrote that article about me?" I asked

Silence prevailed for few seconds.

"Yes. I didn't want to publish it to be honest since I thought it would become controversial. But Anamika was hell bent on publishing it. So for her I did. Did the article cause trouble?" He asked his voice worried at the end.

"No it fucking changed my life. That was the article taken into consideration by the BCCI to bring me back into the team." I said excitedly.

"Thank goodness. Anu will be so happy that she did something for you which worked" he said.

"Thanks once again buddy. It's been of great help" I said

"Anytime mate. Goodnight" he said as he hung up.

She risked her job for me. Now I will have to meet her no matter what.

"Bhai what happened?" Harry asked
