(Platonic) Paladins x Blind!reader

Requested by a friend who was way to excited when she learned that Allura could put Shiro's consciousness into a clone. 😂 I love you.

You sat on the bridge listening to whatever Pidge put on for you. Being blind you couldn't really use the phone that Pidge made unless it had something like Siri on it. Until then you just did whatever you could to feel like normal.

You had sort of forced the paladins to bring you along with them on their crazy journey. Of course you regret it, now you were just like extra baggage. You hated burdening the team with your presence. Even through they told you over and over that they loved you like a little sister and you weren't that much of a burden, you couldn't help but find yourself believing it.

"Lunch, time." Keith said. You reached out for his elbow and he lead you down to the dinning room. He pulled out your chair and even pushed you in after you sat.

You couldn't help but feel agitated that you had to rely on them to help you all the time, to lead you certain places because you had no idea where you were going most of the time. The castle was just so big.

"Are you okay?" Hunk asked.

"No, I'm annoyed."

"Why?" Coran asked.

"Because I can't freaking see! I have to depend on you guys for help. I just wish I could see again." You burst into tears and put your head in your hands.

It went silent as you cried. You felt horrible for yelling at Coran. He was just wanting to know.

"Coran, I didn't mean to yell at you."

"I know, love." He said. You finish your bowl of goo and made your way to your room.

The next morning you were woken up by pidge who seemed way to excited. "Can we try something on you?" She asked.

"That depends, what is it?" You asked sitting up.

"Allura wants to see if she can give you sight. It might not work though. We don't want to give you false hope."  She said pushing your hair back.

"It's okay, let me get ready and I'll let you lead me down." You felt pidge sit beside you as you got ready for the day. You changed quickly and brushed your hair and teeth and let pidge take you to the lounge.

You walked in and pidge lead you to the couch. "The rest of the team is in here too." She said sitting beside you.

"I'm going to try and give you some sight. I don't know how this will turn out or if it will even work."

"I trust you, Allura."

"Close your eyes." You did as she commanded and felt pressure on your temples. You could feel the warmth of her magic through your head and neck. You relaxed into her.

She kept going for a few minutes before she let go the warmth quickly fading.

"Tell me, has anything changed?" Allura asked.

You opened your eyes to see a bright light. Blinking a few times your eyesight cleared up. You saw the other Paladins crystal clear.

"Oh my god, Allura." You say standing up and looking around.

"It worked?"

"Yes, I've never seen anything like it.

You turned towards Allura and grabbed her face. You looked at her white hair and beautiful altean marks. She had a large smile on her face and you quickly pulled her into a tight hug.

You looked to Pidge who caught you off guard. She looked different from what you thought she looked like. You looked at her short brown hair. "You're so short." The others laughed as pulled her into a tight hug.

You looked to Coran who looked younger than you imagined and admired him for a minute. You smiled and couldn't help the tears. You brought him into a tight hug. He held you just as tight and you cried into his shoulder.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm just so happy I can see you guys."

You let go and wiped your tears and walked over to Hunk. He was adorable. You admired him for a few minutes smiling. You gave him a hug and cuddled into him for a minute.

You fully inspected Shiro. You looked at him really close, even hopping up on the couch to get a better look. You flicked his white hair thingy. You studied the scar across his nose. You took a hold of his robot arm and studied it closely. "This is so strange."
He chuckled and pulled you into a hug.

You looked at lance and smiled big time. This was the ladies man. This was the man who took you in first and treated you like a little sister. You hugged him close and whispered thank you in his ear. "You're always welcome."

Then you to Keith. You looked at Keith closely and you immediately looked at his hair. It was longer in the back. I smiled and played with his hair for a minute. Then you admired his face before pulling him into a hug.

You sit back down taking in the wonderful sight of your team. You were finally happy.

"Wait, I don't know what I look like!" You took off running to the bathroom.
