Matt X Reader

It was your birthday party. It was a small party of all of your friends and family. So far it has been great.

"Presents and then cake everyone!" Shiro shouted over the noise escorting you to the couch. There were a few presents, you had told everyone not to bring anything but it looked like they didn't listen.

You sat down and pulled Matt beside you. He laughed and handed you the first gift. You opened it and smiled. It was a small necklace. It was beautiful. "Don't worry, it wasn't expensive. It was one of my old necklaces. I don't wear it anymore."

"Thank you!" You said.

"Mine next!" Lance said.

He quickly came forward and grabbed a small box with two ribbons. He handed it to you and blew a kiss to you. You laughed and quickly pulled the box open. Lance gave you Severus Snape's wand.

You had a Harry Potter wand collection, and you took pride in it. You waved him over for a hug and kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

Matt shifted in his seat and knocked the next present out of his lap. It hit the floor with a dull thud. he turned bright red. He quickly ran out of the room.

"Excuse me, I'm going to go check up on him." You said getting up and hurried after Matt.

You looked in all of the rooms, before knocking on the bathroom door. "Matt?" You asked knocking on the door.

"Come in." He said. You walked in and shut the door with a smile. "I'm sorry for running out like that."

"It's okay. I don't really understand it, but I'm always here for you." You said. You walked over to you and lifted his chin so his eyes met yours. "What's wrong?"

"Do you want the truth?"

"Of course I do." You whispered running your fingers through his soft shaggy hair.

"I think I'm in love with you."

Everything stopped. You were honestly shocked. You thought he would never loved you back. It's been years since you came to term with the friendzone. You would not throw away this chance.

You look back at him and see how genuinely scared he was. It hurt. You firmly grasp his face and pulled him into a kiss. He let out a girlish squeal and you pulled back and laughed. Someone knocked on the door and you opened it. It was Pidge.

"Can we eat, you two are taking forever."

"Go ahead. We're done anyway." She closed the door and you turned back to him.

He wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your stomach. "I thought I didn't stand a chance against Lance."

"He's my best friend, that's why him and I are so close. We've known each other since before preschool. Never doubt yourself." You kissed him again and then left him sitting there alone in the bathroom.

A/N I'm back! Thank you very much for all the kind words! I have a question though. Should I stick with x readers or start another book with doing Voltron ships?
