•Lance x Reader•

You were sitting on the bridge looking at the stars while everyone slept. This time was an amazing time to be awake. You could enjoy the peace and quiet and take in the beauty of outer space without interruption.

You loved looking at the stars. It made you think of when you were a little girl. You smile at the fond memory.

"Daddy? Do you think aliens exist?" You asked your father who sat beside you in a rocking chair watching you use his telescope.

He smiled and looked up at the sky, "I think that one day you can go up to space and when you come back you tell me if aliens exist."

"I'm going to tell you all about it!" You said looking back through the telescope.

You couldn't help but miss him. He was the entire reason you found yourself loving space. He was your entire inspiration. You knew that when you came home he'd be so proud of you.

There was soft footsteps that caused you to jump and look behind you, nobody was there. You shrugged it off but then heard a bang from behind the door and a soft curse as it opened.

You held a hand to your chest as you realized it was lance. "Lance, you gave me a heart attack!" You hissed and turned back around.

"I'm sorry." He whispered and sat down next to me.

You looked at him and in the faint light noticed he looked very tired. "You need to go to sleep, love." You whispered to him.

he gave you a weak smile, "I'm fine."

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"I had a nightmare. I went to your room but you weren't in there and I went searching for you." He said.

You pull him closer and snuggle into his shoulder.

"Can I tell you about what it was like when I was a kid?" You asked and he nodded and pulled you as close as he could get you.

(A/N) I couldn't really find a way to end this so I just kind of left it. I don't think any of the stuff I've written is very good. Please help me out by letting me know what I can fix so I can become better. Have a good/night!
