55. Cuddle

"Wait- yo- your son?" I asked.

She bit her lip and nodded.

"You mean...." I gasped when they showed no signs of joking.

"...I'm your so- son?" Jungkook completed his sentence.

"That's right Jungkook." Miss Minjee smiled.

He looked at her in surprise.

"How-" he questioned with tears but he could finish his sentence the king replied.

"Our enemies wanted to kill you when you were small and we could not risk our son and the future heir of the kingdom being killed, we needed to do something to protect you..."

"It was a hard decision to miss all your childhood moments, the first time you spoke, the first time you walked...we missed all of it but I consoled myself by thinking that at least, you were safe...We're so sorry for keeping you in the dark Jungkook." The Queen said as she broke down into tears. She tightly embraced him and let her tears flow.

"But we had our spies had always given us information about you so we would know how you were doing. Even when you were Gwangju. I was going to declare war on Gwangju or something but then I got to know what Hyung Jae did...I can't thank you enough for saving his life princess." The king finished and patted my head.

I then felt a tug at my hanbok. I looked down to see Seohyeon with her hands up in the air and mouth slightly open. She was babbling with all the cuteness in the world.

I bent down and picked her up in my arms. She instantly gave a wide smile and rubbed her nose against mine while giggling.

"Even your speech is alright now. I'm so happy that we can finally be together." His mother said while cupping one of his cheeks.

"So that means-"

"Yes, Prince Jungkook. It's time you came back to the palace." The man who was talking to Miss Minjee.

"And you are?" Jungkook asked.

"Pardon me. I didn't introduce myself. My name is Min Yoongi. I am Your Majesty's right hand man." The man bowed.

"You needn't bow...But I'll have to leave everything so suddenly?" he asked.

"You can meet them at times...But you must come and take your responsibility today son...Busan needs you."

"But what about Jae? Miss Minjee? The hyungs..."

"Like your father said....You can always come and meet everyone time to time Jungkook... Hyung Jae could visit you too at times." his mother smiled.

Jungkook looked at me with a questionable look. As if he's asking what he should do.

I smiled at him and nodded.

"Kookie Oppa can always visit the kids and Seohyeon. Isn't it?" I asked Seohyeon.

She nodded with a smile. I tapped her nose lightly, making her giggle.

"Kookiw opwa~" Seohyeon cooed, melting everyone's hearts.

She stretched her arms out to towards him.

He smiled at her brightly before taking her in his arms.

"Okay I'll go...." He smiled warmly.

The King and Queen immediately smiled back happily.

I looked at Jungkook who was acting as if he's going to eat Seohyeon with wide eyes and she was laughing like anything.

Another heart melting sight.

"We should go Jungkook...come" The king said.

"But my things?"

"We would send someone to take those. Now come on" He smiled.

Jungkook nodded.

"But just let me do this one thing." he said before coming closer to me and smashing his lips on mine. I was taken back for a while and my cheeks felt heated, I'm pretty sure they were tomato red. 

I mean, he's never kissed me in front of anyone...But I kissed back.

After some seconds, he away.

"Take care okay?" he said before kissing my forehead.

I nodded.

"You too..." I smiled and hugged him.

He hugged everyone and told the kids to behave and not trouble Miss Minjee.

And then....He had to leave.

Wow all this while, I was with a prince. I didn't even know, heck even he didn't know. How do people get so good with keeping secrets?

The thing that saddened me was his absence and the fact that I'll be sleeping alone on the cold bed again. There won't be a bunny to cuddle with.

I don't know when I'll see him next.

"Where ish Kookiw opwa going?" Seohyeon asked.

"His home sweetie. He is going to his home." I smiled and turned towards the dining room where the children had gone.

"You Princess?" she asked again.

Am I Princess? I don't know. Maybe by name. My father never made me feel like his daughter though.

"Hmm...No...But Seohyeon is a princess!" I cooed.

"Me Princess?"

"Yes! Seohyeon is my princess!"

"Yey!" she giggled.

"Kookiw opwa missy~" She pouted. 

"You'll meet him soon baby~" I tried to cheer her up as we walked into the room.

"Let's eat Seohyeonie!" I bounced her a little, earning giggles from her.

I helped Miss Minjee with the breakfast preparations and servings. I fed Seohyeon too.

It felt lonely for the most part.

As if a major part of me was missing, which it was.

I helped Miss Minjee with the dishes later as the guys played with the children.

"It's kind of lonely isn't it?" Miss Minjee suddenly asked.

"It's is to be honest...But it's for the best after all..." I smiled.

"Mhm...You can sleep with Seohyeon today maybe, I don't think you'll enjoy sleeping alone. Plus, apart from all the other kids she seems to like you the most." she grinned. 

"Really? That'll be amazing!" I exclaimed happily.

"Haha I know I know! And it would be easier for you to put her to sleep." she smiled.

The day passed on quick but lonely. I already missed him so much, what's gonna happen tomorrow?

I did try to occupy myself with work and to distract myself which worked to a certain extent, finally when night came, I had little Seohyeon cling to me and cuddle literally, into me.

I patted her back gently and caressed her hair until she fell asleep. When she did, I held her close and got lost into the lands of dreams.
