"You want to get out of bed?"

"No, not really." Rachel giggled, it only pressed her forehead harder to his. They were looking each other dead in the eye and silence ensued. She felt his slow breaths on her own lips.

"Oh? Not really?" He laughed too, sharing a lustrous glance with his wife.

"Something feels so good about this. All the shit we've been through in the last couple of weeks, we deserved some peace and quiet. Well, some peace... and some much needed love."

"Yes. We do. Speaking of love, have I ever told you how much I love you?" He moved his hand that was resting on her back and placed it gently on her face, cupping it to hold her closer.

"I think you might've mentioned it, yes." Giggling again, Rachel closed her eyes as if she was dreaming.

"And how beautiful you are. Like seriously, you're just flawless." He stared in awe, embracing her delicate and perfect features.

"Mhm." Rachel mumbled, then pulled his lips to hers, Mike engulfed her body and manoeuvred so that he was directly underneath her. Sprawled over him, she draped her head on his chest, breaking the intensity.

"What?" Mike questioned her loss of interest.

"Rosalie will be awake in a minute. You need to put a shirt on Mike. I've got some plans for today too."

"Sounds enticing, somehow not as enticing as this though. Can we not stay for a little longer?" He was beginning to sound desperate.

"Oh, you do make it sound lovely, but we need to get up." Rachel planted another kiss onto Mike's pouting mouth, and let it lead on. However, her self control was heaps better than his, so pulled away and jumped out from the duvet.

"Hmm, let me see that little baby of ours." Mike joked and jumped up simultaneously, pulled her waist back to him. Rachel sighed pulling up her t-shirt revealing her almost normal stomach.

"Hey little buddy." Mike placed his hand over her belly, speaking softly.

"Little buddy?"

"What's wrong with that?"

"Nothing." Rachel retorted in a higher pitched voice, letting the fabric drape back over herself.

"Right, come on... Let's do this." Mike smiled, before connecting their mouths one last time, murmuring an I love you in between kisses. Rachel absconded herself from the bedroom as Mike heard her small footsteps travelling down the stairs. She busied herself straight away compiling ingredients for breakfast, waiting for the other members of the family to greet her.

"And here we are!" Mike presented himself, now dressed and showered, with an adequately dressed child clung to his side. One of his arms occupied, he used the other to move the bowls of berries from the counter to the dining table.

"How did you sleep Rosalie?" Rachel asked, taking the stack of French toast and placing it in the middle of the table runner. The little girl no longer had a bandage over her head, but still had a pretty visible patch on her head where they had removed her hair for surgery. On mild painkillers since she'd left the hospital, she was getting back to her usual, energetic self. Instead of verbally responding, Rosalie stuck both of her thumbs up, presenting a giant grin to her parents.

"Good. We're going to go out today, do you think you'll be up for that?" Mike enquired as he placed some fruit and toast onto her plastic plate.

"Yeah? Where we going?" She looked quizzically at her father, wanting to know exactly where they were going before she gave a definite answer. Mike shot a quick you need to answer that look to his wife, as he didn't know where either.
