Chapter 5 - The New Friends

Amane's POV:

"Dringgg!" There goes the bell. Me and Jessie have been patiently waiting to hear this bell sound. We made plans to go to Starbucks after school.

Surprisingly we shared most of the classes together, so school was more fun now. Several days have passed since I started my school here.

I packed my things and got up from my seat. "Jess....ie?" She wasn't anywhere around. I looked around for her and saw that she was talking with some guy.

Oh! Maybe teaching. Anyways I planned to wait for her near the locker. "I'll be waiting near the locker!" I let her know as I started leaving. She gave me a thumbs up.

All set! Here we come, Starbucks. I got out of the class and a group of guys stood in front of me.

"Mhm! You're blocking the way..!" I looked up to see it was Zach. I groaned internally.

Why do I have to bump only into him always? Besides him I saw the guy who helped me, his name was Noah if I remember correctly. I smiled at him.

He seemed surprised at first but smiled back. "Tsk. I'm also here Amy!" He whined. Seriously? "What?" I looked at him showing no emotions on my face.

"What did I do to you?" He suddenly turned so serious. "Sorry I've got plans to attend. See ya!" And I tried to dash out. Literally I tried so hard.

Arghh! "What do you want Zach?" Leave my hand!" I turned to him. Might as well finish it off now.

"I'd like to be friends with you." He spoke in a teasing manner and immediately he looked at Noah. I was confused.

But the next moment Noah punched him in his shoulder. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We'll leave now." Noah finally spoke up as I looked at him.

"Oh.. no. It's totally fine. Um.... was it you who wanted to, you know....?" I couldn't speak.

No words would come out properly. Why the hell am I acting so shy and blushing now? It's just a friend request.

He isn't proposing me here!! What happened to the confident and strong Amane? I looked at him. "I don't know who said or what, but sure we can be friends." I looked at both Zach and Noah as I spoke up.

Both of them grinned. Haha! I smiled and this time literally ran without notice. I went to my locker and was arranging my things when-

"Hey!" I looked to my side to see that tall guy standing there. Any moment he does it seemed like a big building is moving.

Just kidding. But yeah he's tall. "Hi! What you doing now?" I kept the conversation going on as I kept my things inside the locker and locked it.

"Nothing much? I'm free for the day. So I've no idea what to spend my time in." He looked already bored. I've an idea. Why not invite him too? Hope Jessie doesn't mind.

"Hey wanna join us then?" I asked. "Us? But I see you alone here. And to where?" Okay, one by one. "Us is-" before I complete "Hey Amy! Were you waiting long?" Well that makes it easier then.

"Us is me and this girl. And no I wasn't for your question" I looked at each of them as I spoke.

Jessie stood confused. She looked at me asking who was he? I don't know how but yeah I understood her expression talk.

"Hey I'm Jessie! Amy's best friend." Okay that was unexpected. She looked at me with her hands on her hips and waited. "Uh yeah!" She smiled. I knew it.
