Chapter 13 - The New Teacher

Amane's POV:

It's been a week since Nessa transferred schools. "Amy! I don't see anything fun here." Nessa whined.

When she was in her old school, we used to call each other and update everything about each day. Like that, I've been telling her all the fun things here. Sadly as she transferred, nothing much happened till now.

"Guys, anybody saw the new teacher yet?" Jess came running to us.

"No?" I replied but it came out more like a question. I shrugged and turned around to the locker to take my books for the second period.

"He's an English teacher or so I heard." Jess's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Oh!" I didn't know what was so exciting in that.

"Did you have any classes with him?" Nessa asked. "No, but I heard rumors about him." They both engage in talking while I just move aside. My head hurts a lot!

I heard a notification sound and I pull out my phone to see a text message from Unknown.

Unknown: Hey Sweetheart!

I smile at the text but decide to ignore it. As I put the phone back in my back pocket, I see Blake come up to me. "What's wrong?" He asks. "Nothing... I'm... just......no-t fee-eli.....ng....we-...!!" With that, I fall unconscious on the floor.

"What's wrong with her?" I heard someone ask. "Hey! Stop doing such faces. She'll faint again if she wakes now." and there were some trying to control their laughter.

I slowly open my eyes to see Noah's face just an inch away from mine. I pushed him hard and hid my face under the pillow.

That felt really uncomfortable! For long I've wanted to be that close to him but now it didn't feel right.

"What the hell were you doing Noah?" I asked but my voice came out muffled. Zach burst out laughing so hard. "Amy?" Nessa called out. "Yeah......" my voice was still muffled. I heard some foot steps hurrying to me. Soon it was accompanied by a smack on my head. "You didn't tell me you had such cool friends!!" Noah and Zach smirked at that. Jess was so cool and she flipped her hair.

I looked around and finally saw Blake looking at me with a smile. A GENUINE SMILE!! My mouth formed an 'O' shape at that. So he was the one talking to the nurse.

The nurse came and did some check up on me. "She'll be fine but Amy take this period free and lay down here." I nodded at her. "Remaining all shoo back to your class." She started pushing them one by one.

Noah turned around. "Ma'am, is it alright if I stay beside her?" She was about to say no when he cut her off. "You know, how she's weak and all." He winked at me.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I just saw Blake literally roll his eyes at Noah's comment. "Hey, it's alright. I'll be fine." Since he insisted so much, the nurse let him stay.

"The weather is nice today."  Noah spoke up. I chuckled. "You know you don't need to try hard to start a conversation." I looked at him. "No, seriously I just felt like hearing your voice." I stared at him. Then I started to laugh. I heard a kick outside the infirmary but didn't bother about it.

"What? I'm saying honestly." He pouted and it looked so cute. "You really didn't have to stay here. You'll miss your classes."

"Amy...." Noah stood up and came closer. He hovered up of me.
