Chapter 21 - The Scary Guest

Amane's POV:

I reached back home tired. "Mom, I'll pass on dinner." I informed her as I saw her cooking. I felt bad because she was doing her best to cook for us. And here I was declining to eat her food by just uttering some words.

"No dear, you can't sleep without having food." She insisted. "It's fine, Mom! I already ate." I told her and headed on to my room.

On my way I noticed my brother Calvin sitting and typing something on his laptop.

I tiptoed in his room and slowly went behind him. Then I was about to cover his eyes when all of a sudden he jerked his head back. "Amy! Pass me my phone from the bed." He pointed at his phone whereas I screamt loudly.

"Why are you screaming?" He asked confused. "Because you scared me, stupid!" I stood there looking at him while holding my chest.

He chuckled. "Don't tell me you were planning on scaring me and it backfired on you!" He guessed it right.

With my silence, he knew he was right. He started laughing heartily whereas I just huffed and jumped on his bed.

"But how did you know I came in?" I asked.

"I saw you but didn't react to it!" He chuckled. "Stupid!" I stuck out my tongue at him even though he couldn't see. "I'm glad you're back! I can get to enjoy again!" I informed him smiling.

"I missed you!" I ran up to him and hugged him from behind.

"Well, that makes me happy to hear from my cute sister! But let me work now." He patted my hand.

"As usual! Workaholic!" I shrugged and went back to sitting on his bed. "Hey! I reduced. Not as much as before now." He told sounding proud of it.

My brother had a super sweet and caring girlfriend. But as usual, she was cheating with him the entire time except the first month.

When he found out, it was two and half months later. She was more attracted to another guy who was damn rich. So she ditched my brother.

I actually laughed at the fact that they didn't even have a proper break up!

But it was a good thing my brother didn't fall deep. He was on the beginning stage where he planned to discuss with her about all sorts of things to do in life. But all that seemed to crush down.

Since then he didn't find any interest to get another girlfriend and has been living his life this way.

"Calvin! Don't you want to have any other girlfriend?" I asked him.

"Don't even bring that up, Amy! Having you both sisters is enough for me." I could feel his smile behind the words. "Plus I'll just wait for our parents to find a girl for me when I'm of age." He stated casually.

Hearing his words somehow made me happy.

"Of course, don't forget the twins! They're our life!!" He was right. Having them around always made us enjoy our life a little more.

"Ed! Where's Amy and Emily? Take them in one room and stay with them." I could hear my father yelling from downstairs.
