Chapter 16 - The Courage Test

Amane's POV:

"Woah! There are many others too." I looked around seeing the place filled with people.

"Seems like there's some celebration." Blake chimed in.

"Guysssss!" Jessie yelled so loudly. Everyone's eyes were on us. I'm so gonna kill you Jess...

"Um....I guess... it's nice to meet you all?" She spoke tilting her head to the side. I facepalmed myself.

It was just the starting where all the staffs I guess were arranging everything.

"Let's search for a spot. Then we'll go for a tour around!" I told. Nessa and Jessie nodded.

We put out two tents - one for the boys and one for girls. "I wonder what they're setting up these for?" I asked curiously.

"Move your hands instead of lips!" Blake yelled from the other end. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him. He can talk as he want but we've to keep shut!

I looked at him to see him smirking. Why the hell does he smirk always? I stuck my tongue out at him and focused not tying the rope.

"Amy!! You're doing it wrong!" Jessie jumped in and pushed me away. "Jess! Just let me do this one... I'll feel bad. I haven't done any!" I pleaded.

All of us were assigned to tie the knots at four corners of the tent. Surprisingly I managed to fail at any trial I did.

But always Noah came to my rescue! At least he supported me. "Hey! What are you busy thinking?" I turned around to see Noah.

I blushed slightly. "Uh.. nothing!" I smiled. He pinched my cheeks. "Ouch!" I pulled my hand away.

"Oh I'm sorry! Did you get hurt?" He started examining my cheeks. "Uh.. no it's my fingers actually." I laughed.

"Gimme, I'll do it!" With that he set on work. Immediately as he finished he took my hands. "Hey! Where are we going?" I spoke as he kept dragging me.

Suddenly my heard turned towards a pair of eyes staring at us. At Noah to be specific. Woah! What's wrong with him....?

I immediately pulled my hand away on seeing him. I don't know why but I felt awkward to be that close to Noah in Blake's presence.

"Just come with me Amy! Your fingers are hurt." He again hold my hand and took me to the ocean.

I saw Blake as his expressions changed from relief to annoyed to irritated. A mixture of emotions kept displaying on his face. I didn't fail to notice the smirk when I pulled my hand away.

As he saw me staring at him, he smirked. Then turned away to join the others.

Seriously....? I just had that thought on my mind.

"Yeah! Seriously." Noah replied. I turned to look at him when I saw him smiling at me.

That cute smile for which thousands of girls fall for. I blushed looking down.

"Wait! Did you say something...?" I looked down embarrassed. "I'm sorry I was just thinking something and didn't pay attention......" I added slowly.

Suddenly his expression turned serious. "I was saying-" I cut him off. "Hey! Let's go nearer to the sea." I pointed towards the waves.

I felt like it'd be something which will distract me completely. I didn't want to hear him now.

He smiled. "Come on!" He started pulling me. We went closer and sat beside the waves.
