Chapter 12 - The Surprises - Part II

Amane's POV:

"Ed? Why are you here?" I asked him as he was standing in the doorway.

"Sorry maahn! But I gotta take her home." Edward told Blake. "Well, fine anyways we were almost done!" He told.

Ed looked at us with a questioning look. "Studying!" I glared at Blake. "Anyways let's go." I went in and took my things.

I returned back to my brother and we bid goodbye to Blake, then left.

On the way back home, I was looking outside the window when I heard Ding! indicating that I received a text messge.

I clicked to open it. I saw that it was a text from unknown.

The text read:
Unknown: Hey Amy!!

Me: Yeah! What?

I remembered his previous message. I scrolled up to read it again. Since he told me if I talk then only I can get to know him,
so I asked the first question that popped in my mind.

Me: Fine I'll talk to you. Who are you?

Unknown: Don't ignore me. It hurts! 😔

Me: Haha very funny but I don't have the mood to laugh.

Unknown: I didn't say any joke.

Me: I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not in good mood.

Unknown: What's wrong, Amy?

Me: It's just... I'm missing my friends.

Unknown: Don't worry! You'll get to see them soon.

Hearing it from him for some reason assured me that I'll see them soon.

Me: I feel better after telling someone about it.

Unknown: I'm happy I could be that person for you.

He seemed like a nice guy. But the worst thing is he'll never tell who he is or anything related to him.

Me: Hey! Can I ask you something?

Unknown: Shoot!

Me: You just now ignored my question about who you are!

Unknown: I'm a human like you. 😜

Me: I'm asking to tell me your details.

Unknown: Are you taking my interview?

Me: Tell me!

Unknown: It's a secret!

Me: I'm not gonna bother texting you. Bye!

Then I switched off my phone and kept. "Mom was worried about you being late so she asked me to pick you up" he explained. I had forgotten to tell mom about tutoring Blake. I just nodded at my brother.

Then we reached home. I got down of the passenger seat and was about to enter home. "Wait!" Ed told. "I'll open the door!" And he opened and ran inside. I wonder what's wrong with him. Maybe he needs to go to toilet.

As I entered I saw more shoes at the entrance than usual. I removed my shoes and kept it on the shoe rack. I could hear more noises from the sitting room. Maybe my parents has some guests over. I went upstairs to my room.

When I opened the door, I saw a girl standing in the balcony and looking at the sky. I slowly entered inside and coughed slightly. "Excuse me?" I called out. As soon as she turned back I threw my things down and ran to her. I jumped on her and hugged her tightly.
