Chapter 9 - The Smirking Guy

Amane's POV:

I was waiting for Edward for going home along with him. I just didn't feel to walk home today.

School has just ended. "Amane!" I turned to the source of the sound. I couldn't find anyone. Weird! "Bhooo!" came from my behind.

"Woah!" I immediately turned around.

Again no one. Then it clicked me. I simply kept turning around towards right when all of the sudden I turned left. "Caught ya!" I started laughing. "Oops!" He was rubbing the back of his neck in a defeated manner. "So what's up?" I asked. "Ah... you free for the day?" He asked in return. "Well beside studying, I don't think I've to do anything." I shrugged.

"Let's go out then!" He suggested. "To whe-" I was about to ask when I saw Zach running towards us. "Noah! You idiot! Why did you leave me alone with those girl?" Zach came up to us. He was fuming.

"I didn't want to stay with them. So thought you could give them company in my place." Noah just shrugged. As these boys kept arguing, my eyes drifted to the person leaving the school building.

Many people were surrounding him. All girls were looking at him dreamily. C'mon seriously! Suddenly something caught my eyes. "Oh my god! What is that idiot doing there!?" I kind of shouted. This caught both of the boys attention. "What's wrong?" and their eyes followed the direction of my vision. I felt Noah tremble. Zach's mouth opened and closed. "Let me go get her." I was about to go when Noah hold me back. "What?" I asked. "No, nothing." He let go of my hand. I looked at Zach questionably but he just shrugged. Noah didn't see that. "Uh.... I've to go home early today. Something emergency came up!" He scratched the back of his neck.

"Alright see you tomorrow!" I bid him bye and he left. Instead of going to him, I decided to just Jess a call. I gave her a call and she picked. I was watching them in the process.

I saw the new student talk to Jess. Pick up the phone already! After some rings she picked.

"Hey Amy! Guess where am I now?" She spoke through the phone so excited. Zach was standing beside me and trying to make funny faces. He tried to make me laugh but I did my best to ignore him. "Well where are you?" Even though I knew, rather I was watching her right now, I just felt to ask. She was way too excited.

"I'm with Blake!!!!" I sighed. So his name was Blake. "Yeah I know, I'm standing opposite to you." I told her. She then turned to me and her eyes went wide. As she looked at me that made Blake look too. As soon as he saw me, he smirked.

I rolled my eyes at him. By now almost everyone left from around him. I waved at Jessie. She told something to me and came up running to me. "Amy!!" She jumped in for a hug. I chuckled. I patted her head. I knew exactly what she was down for. "Alright let's go eat ice cream!" She squealed happily. All these Blake was watching and I had no idea about it. I looked up when Zach nudged me and then understood. "Let's go!" I dragged them both to my brother's car.

I took out my phone and dialed my brother's number. On the second ring he picked up. "Hey! Where are you? I wanted to go home with you today." I said through the phone. "Oh what's wrong? Missing me so much?" I could feel the smirk in his voice. "Okay I'll go walking. Bye!" I was about to hang up "Hey wait! I was kidding girl. Why so serious!!?" I didn't feel to answer. "Nothing. So are you coming?" I asked.

"Ah... I'm sorry. I'm so happy that my lil' sis wants to go with me-" I groaned. I wasn't in the mood for this now. "Yes or no? I'll seriously hang up!" I said sternly. "Alright alright...I'll be late today. Mind walking and going? I'll take you another day." He told. I sighed. "Fine bye!" "Bye! Take care" and we hung up.
