Chapter 8 - The Transfer Student

Amane's POV:

This alarm sound woke me up at 4:00 in the morning. It's just too early. I sighed. I went back to bed again. But I couldn't sleep. For some reason I was wide awake. I just lay there and keep thinking of random memories.

Ding! Suddenly I heard a notification sound. Who messages this late at night? I decided to ignore it. I'll just check it in morning.

"Hey Amy! Wake up!!! You'll be late for school!" I heard Ed say through the door. "Just 5 more minutes and I'll be up." With that I drifted off to sleep again.

Splash!! "Ahh!" I wiped my face with my hands. Drops of water kept dripping from my face and hair.

"Why the hell did you do that?" I yelled at Ed.

"Look at the time before you speak the next time" He told and folded his arms. I looked to my bedside table and saw it was past 7:30 am which means I've less than 15 minutes to get ready.

"Oh no!! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" I threw the blanket and jumped out of my bed.

Edward just rolled his eyes at me and left. "I've been trying to wake you up for half an hour duh!" He murmured before leaving. I hurried to the washroom and freshened myself.

I went downstairs to see mom in the kitchen. Isn't she supposed to be in school? Anyways I should hurry. "I'm leaving mom. I don't want breakfast." I kissed her cheeks and dashed out of the door.

"See you later, bro!" I told to Calvin as I started to jog.

"Hey wait! What are you so hurry about in this early morning?" I looked at him like duh I've school to catch!! "Come I'll give you a ride." And he went on to start the car. I guess that makes it easier then. I went back to his car and sat in the passenger seat. "I wish I get a car soon! That Edward!!!! He could have waited for me" I huffed and puffed to myself in the car.

"Well He seemed to be in a hurry. Maybe he has something to do in school!" I wonder what was so important. Suddenly my stomach growled. I heard Calvin chuckling. "Didn't you have breakfast?" He gave me a side look as he focused on the road while driving. "No.... I just ran out because I'll be late to school."

"I don't know why you're in such a hurry.... but it's just 7:00 in the morning!" I looked at him stunned. "Hey! I woke up at 7:30!! There's no way it's 7:00 now!" I told him as I looked at my watch. It read 7:01 am. Wait...wait I took my phone out and saw it became now 7:02 am. "Oh my god!! That Edward!!!" I groaned in frustration.

Calvin was laughing there as I think he caught up about what happened. I can't believe he pranked me. He made the time half an hour faster in my table clock.

Then I saw the notification which I heard the sound of at night. I clicked on the text message.

Jess: Hey! Great newsss!!!
you know, a new
transfer student will
           be coming to school!

I shook my head at the text. This girl...!

Me: Ya? Anyways will talk to you at school soon.

Then I shut off my phone and kept it in my pocket. I looked up to see my brother made a stop at the cafe. "Hey! I'm hungry...!" He chuckled. "I know. That's why I already made your order." We ate take away sandwiches and juice and then he dropped me off to school.
