Chapter 22

NANDINI'S POV

                   I didn't excepted Navya's house to be this big when she said she lived in an apartment.I never knew flats could be this big and comfortable.When I asked Navya about it she said she got this by chance and had no plans to leave anytime soon.

           It's been three hours since we came here and we watched a movie and had our lunch.Watching movies is so much fun with Navya.Her commentary made the horror movie turn to comedy.So we decided to watch one more movie and this time I chose a comedy movie.And now we are dancing and jumping on her bed singing Love story by Taylor swift."It's a love story baby just say.....YES!"we whispered the last part and jumped last time on bed so that we fell beside each other.We laid there in comfortable silence before I broke the silence.

             "Navya!"I said and she hummed."I have to tell you something."I said mustering all my courage.Navya didn't replied but turned and laid on her elbow her head resting on her palm.I didn't had courage so I didn't look at her instead I looked at the ceiling."I think I'm attracted to Manik."I said in a single breath.Navya got back to her position and hummed like she knew I would say this."Aren't you shocked?"I asked looking at her."Nope I know and I know more than that.You love him."
"Noooo!!!!I just like him"I said and Navya just smirked."What?"
"Nothing! I said that to get the right confession out of you"she said and laughed.And I just smiled.I thought she would be mad at me for not telling this earlier.But she wasn't.I love her.
        
            "Aren't you mad at me for not telling you this earlier?"I asked her and she shook her head in "no"."I saw your face that day when Manik was holding a girl's hand in front of our class.Wait!Why do I think Nandu he was doing that on purpose?I mean why did he do that in front of our class?"she asked and I rolled my eyes."Because you over think Navya!Manik would never do that for me.He wouldn't even like to be friends with me.I'm just an over dressed nobody in this college.So no one cares!"I said and we both laid in silence.
     
            "Don't you think you too should confess now?"I asked her."Confess?what?"she asked and I raised my eyebrow at her."Don't tell me you don't like that guy?"I asked her."Oh that!I just find him cute.That's it."she said with a serious face."Are you sure it's just that much?"I asked curiously as I couldn't read her face."Yes!I can't think of him more than that 'cause everytime I think of him his face when he saw me comes to my mind and I just want to punch him then kiss him then..never mind."she said and I wanted to laugh and cry at her condition.But I didn't do any of it.I just laid in silence."His name is kabir by the way!"she said and turned around so that she doesn't face me.But if only I would let her go."How do you know?"I asked her sitting on bed and turned her to face me."I came across his profile on insta!"she said and suddenly her eyes lit in amusement.

             "Actually!I have something to show you!"she said took her phone out."Last night when I was checking his profile.." "stalking!"I corrected her.
"Okay whatever..You should see what I saw!"she said  and gave her phone to me.
When I saw him my mouth dropped open in shock.It was the same guy who was with Manik that day in library.He was standing there in blue shirt and beside him was Manik in black shirt.Black looks sinful on him.Government should ban black colour on him.But I put my thoughts aside to reply Navya. "Navya he's the same guy who was in library the first time I saw Manik."I said and Navya nodded."Yup I guessed that.They must be best friends because there are many pictures of them together."Navya said and sat up beside me."There's one more thing you should see"she said and scrolled further to show a picture in which Kabir,Manik and Mr.Mehta were laughing at something.The caption was #candid.I looked at Navya shocked.They both were friends with Mr.Mehta?The second time I looked at the picture and saw Manik,I realized something.I should take my decision back.He was wearing yellow shirt and was still managed to look damnn attractive.So the realization is, it isn't about colour, it's HIM!Someone should ban him!I heard Navya clear her throat and I looked at her."If you are done staring him!Can I get my phone back please?"she said and I turned red with embarrassment."yeah"I said and returned her phone.

            "He tagged Manik in this picture so we can open his profile and then you can stare him as much you want."Navya said and opened his profile.I looked at her sideways still too embarrassed to look at Navya."Hey Nandu check this out he's wearing your favorite colour.Blueeee"Navya teased me and I couldn't control.When I leaped towards her phone Navya started giggling and took phone in her other hand and away from me.I tried to reach to it and after some efforts I finally snatched it from her.And when I looked at the screen my heart beat stopped.Not because of Manik because in our fight, accidentally his pic was liked.I turned to look at Navya and her expression was too horror stricken as her eyes were on the screen.

       "I'm sorry!"I almost whispered."Nope.I am!"she said and I didn't understand why she was sorry."Why?"
"Because that's your profile not mine!"she said and the next thing I knew was I wanted to jump out of the balcony."What's my id doing in your phone?"I yelled at her."You tell me what's your id doing in my phone? Actually I remember you once logged in from my phone to see something but maybe didn't logged out after that."Navya said with worried expression but also her face said she wanted to laugh badly.

          "Navyaaa!!!"I said in defeated tone and laughed with her.We kept the phone on bed and moved away from it like it was bomb that could explode any time."What do I do now?"I asked her."Unlike it.If you are lucky and he isn't online he shouldn't have seen it yet."she said and I quickly agreed to her and did as I was told."What about the notification?Will that go away if take back our like?"I asked and Navya shook her head showing she didn't knew and both again started laughing.

             "I want to die!"I said after we both got back to senses from laughing.And once again Navya burst into laughter."Thank God!it wasn't kabir's pic.It would have boosted his ego."Navya said and I stared at her angrily.She looked at me and kept finger on her lips indicating she'll be quite now,all the while trying to hide her smile but couldn't.
