Chapter 71

"Are you sure applying makeup daily won't spoil my skin?"I asked Inaya, Mukti's friend.

"Girl you really are something.Nothing will happen don't worry."Mukti's other friend Myra interjected.

Today Nyonika had insisted on calling a makeup artist and it's been an hour since she went into room with Mukti.No one was allowed there and since it was Mukti's friends room,they were getting ready in our room.Not that there were any shortage of space.We all just wanted to stay close to Mukti.

"Beauty is a women's weapon"Were the exact words of Navya when she was getting dressed and true to her words,she was dressed to kill.May God have mercy on kabir today.

Manik told he would join today's function by every means,which meant kabir would join too.So we both were very excited.

Once we all were done with our makeup,we waited patiently for Mukti to come out and when she did,we were awestruck looking at her.

We let Myra and Inaya bring Mukti down today.It didn't look like a big thing,but for us it was something close friends did,so we took it as an honor.

When they both brought Mukti down,we heard whistle and all the ladies turned around to look to find kabir,Manik and Harshad standing in the doorway?What was Harshad doing here?

All the ladies rushed towards them and Manik smiled.I bet he was thinking all came because he's famous.

I chuckled.

"This is strictly only ladies function."one of the lady said and then everyone started saying the same.They were trying to push them away but Manik being Manik!He shut everyone saying he's here for his vlog and if they let him in, they'll be featured in his vlog.He also brought Kabir and Harshad in,saying they'll be his camera men.And Navya and I couldn't stop laughing.

Everyone was enjoying the party with music in background and some close friends of Nyonika applying haldi to her.Manik and Kabir were actually making vlog.

I was sitting beside Mukti when the song started.

Navya came on the dance floor dragging Harshad by his collar behind her and eyes trained on Kabir.She started dancing on the song and Harshad gladly joined her.But a very much jealous kabir wasn't taking this well.Manik started capturing the scene and unexpectedly kabir joined the dance floor.I didn't knew he was a good dancer untill now.He pushed Harshad aside and took Navya in his arms.Navya looked at him shocked for few minutes then she danced with him and again went back to Harshad.Kabir and Harshad both fought for Navya,mostly kabir did.Harshad was fine with any girl.By this time,Myra and Inaya too joined them.Mukti and I sat and enjoyed everything.Manik turned his camera to capture us,I tried to protest but since it was Manik,I relaxed a bit. And at the end of the dance,a very much angry kabir dragged Navya along with him.I just rolled my eyes at them.

After the song,I insisted Manik that I'll take video while he can be with Mukti.Manik agreed to it.He said he'll apply Haldi to his sister and he spread haldi in his palm and instead of applying it directly to Mukti,he came went backward dancing.Then he came forward dancing,taking one step at a time.I laughed at his actions but quickly controlled my laugh when the camera begin to shake.He came close to Mukti and finally applied haldi.After that he hugged her tight, kissing her forehead and Mukti's eyes welled.They both stayed like that for awhile and all looked at them in aww.

Heck!Even I'm emotional!

When they parted away,Manik looked at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes and started walking in my direction when he was rudely carried away by some girls.They took him to the dance floor and insisted that he dance with them.

It took everything in me to stop myself from going there and snatching my Man from their claws,but I didn't.I know how Manik was with girls before me,now that he's with me,I want to see how he behaves and think about other girls.

"Trust the other person completely,either your trust will win or you'll learn a lesson for life."Chacha's words rang in my ear.He said this to me when I first doubted our relationship and since then I've never had any second thoughts and Manik didn't disappoint me.

Manik tried to get out of the grip of girls who were trying to take a selfie and getting too close to him.He was struggling to get out of their grip.The Manik Malhotra,who was with a new girl every new week was trying to run away from girls.When he finally managed to get out of their claws,I closed the camera and caught him by his hand and took him to with me.

At this point I didn't care if anyone saw me,but probably no one did.I took him to a dark store room where I had stumbled earlier and before he could open his mouth,I closed it with mine.

Manik gasped but quickly responded back.I opened my eyes and found Manik smiling.

"Someone's very..umm..active lately."Manik said and I blushed thinking what I did.Why did I do that?

Because he really didn't let any other girl touch him.He is indeed serious about you.

I buried my head in his chest embarrassed about it.

"But I'm not complaining!"Manik continued saying, raising his hands in surrender.

"Well..What was that for?"Manik asked after few seconds.

"Because.."I said raising my head from his chest.

"I love you."

"Really?"Manik asked in fake shock tone.

"Then I love you more.Let me prove it."Manik said trying to get hold of me but I giggled and laughed and slipped out of his arms before he could catch me.
