Chapter 36

NANDINI'S POV

His smile turned into anger and some emotion I couldn't read.And still he looked handsome with his jaw clenched and hands fisted.Shut up Nandini get control of yourselves.I came infront of him to block his view but who was I kidding?He's probably twice height as of mine.So I stood there watching rushing towards the stairs ignoring me like I wasn't standing in his way followed by kabir and Abhimanyu calling after him.

MANIK'S POV

My head was spinning by the time the car had stopped.She first saved me and then tried to kill me with her driving.I guess I just got to know one of her hobby.Scaring the s**t out of people.I knew too well that she knows how to drive but she wanted to tease me.Fine now she'll have to pay for it. It took me some time to get out of car and by that time Nandini ran out of car like she knew she was in trouble.I sat there for some time thinking about Her hands that felt so soft against mine.I never knew a girl's hand felt so soft.Maybe my focus was always somewhere else.But one thing was for sure.The more I'm with her,the more I go to through her antics, the more I'm sure that I'm in love with this girl.There's no other reason I would've given her my car.I never gave chance to anyone to drive my car.But this girl not only drived my car  but also almost destroyed it and killed me and I'm not even mad at her.I smiled to myself like an idiot.I locked the car and ran after her.As soon as I enter I wanted to catch Nandini but what I saw behind her made my speed slow.I stopped as I saw Abhi on his knees in front of Mukti.For some  reasons I felt hurt.I did the only thing that I felt was right at that time.Go away from there before I do something wrong.

I rushed towards terrace while I heard kabir and Abhi calling and coming after me.I quickly went and grabbed the cardboard cards.I turned to find kabir and Abhi looking at me angrily.

It was getting dark and we were waiting by the pool side for Mukti and girls to come out.Abhi had messaged him so she should be out by now.When heard them talking and coming out we quickly took our positions which we had changed as they were taking long to come.I stood first holding two card boards and beside me was kabir holding a board and then Abhi holding one more board.

When girls saw us holding the boards they were stunned.Navya and Nandini looked at each other and smiled while Mukti stood there with her mouth open.
The boards I was holding,on one it was written "will" while other had "you" and kabir had "marry" and Abhi was holding "me" board.

Finally Mukti came running towards us and I turned other side not wanting to see what Abhi and Mukti were going to do.But instead Mukti came running towards me.

"What's going on?"she asked me trying not to smile.

"Abhi is proposing you?"

"I thought you were angry the last time he tried this?"she asked and I looked at her sheepishly.I held her hand and took her to side.

"Actually Abhi had asked me before proposing you."

"What?And..?"

"I was angry at first but when I remembered your record with boys no one,trust me no one was half as good as him.He's honest and the best you could've got.So why would I mind?"

"I know he's perfect."she told looking at Abhi and I cringed.

"So what about the little drama you guys did in afternoon?"

"Actually we had planned the proposal this way but since I wasn't here Abhi had to do it alone."

"My baby brother!"she said and pulled my cheeks.And ran towards Abhi and jumped on him kissing his face and I turned having seen enough of them.But I heard Abhi asking her if she will him and she kissed him in reply.

The girls started to leave and Mukti insisted Abhi to come with her but he told he'll come with us.When all three of them were leaving,Abhi came to me and asked,
"When are you asking Nandini?"

"Let's do it right now!" I said and took the boards on which me was written.

We all took our positions where I was holding the board written me and we started shaking the boards above our heads where girls back was facing us and I whispered

"Nandini will you marry me?"

We all laughed and started following girls into the house.This was supposed to be joke but when I was saying those words my heart beat had stopped as if she would answer me.Will things go really that far?

How was the proposal?I'm not so satisfied with this so I guess I'll edit this some day.
