Chapter 50

NANDINI'S POV

Somebody just stop the damn ringtone.I opened my eyes sleepily and saw Mukti was trying to find her phone which was above her head.I gestured her where her phone was and she stopped the ringtone and we both slept.But the damn phone had to ring again and by this time we all were awake and glaring at the phone.Mukti looked at us sheepishly and received the call and nodded her head twice and ended the call.Seriously?no one from us told her that it was an audio call and she needed to respond verbally.Anyways.

Mukti turned to Abhi and woke him up with a kiss.Navya and I were in aww while kabir and Manik gagged.She told us that her mom needs them both for shopping.When Mukti mentioned her mom I secretly wished her to be my mother in law.Okay I need to stop right here.Can't go far with my planning and hurt myself.

As Mukti and Abhi started to leave,Kabir told he had to leave too and before going he wanted to drop Navya and make sure she's fine.Does he even know what he's doing?Before leaving kabir took keys from Manik?Why was he taking Manik's home keys?I know it's his house keys as he has this beautiful blue color guitar as his keychain.

When they all left,I got out of Manik's arms to bring water for myself and Manik.I came back and told him to leave but he wouldn't agree.

"Manik I'm fine now.You should go."

"Yeah sure and leave you alone in this house."

"Chacha will be back tomorrow Manik you need not worry about me."

"Then I'll be gone tomorrow you don't worry."That's what I wanted to listen right?then why did that hurt when he said he'll leave?

I shrugged away my thoughts and felt Happy that Manik will be here with me till tomorrow.Manik was still sleepy so I left him there and went to reheat biryani.Yup I can eat it for all rest of my life.

That night after dinner,Manik and I cuddled and were watching a movie.

"Are you mad at me?"Manik asked me out of nowhere.

"About what?"lol should I tell him that I can never be mad at him?

"That I didn't ask you before inviting all them to your house?"

"Seriously Manik?you were worried about that?Just so you know this was one of the best days of my life."I looked at him and smiled and he kissed my nose.

"Well Manik,I want to ask you something if you don't mind."

"Anything babygirl just tell me what it is?"

"I want to borrow your lehenga to wear at Mukti's haldi.If only you don't mind."I said struggling to keep a straight face.

"Well let me see.I've got a contract to dance at the same function so I'll see what I can do."Manik said playing along with me and we both started laughing.

"And also Manik,I want you to teach me some dance."

"Sure"he said smiling.

"When did you plan all that?"

"Well  you see you think you can hide anything from me when the truth is you can't.I saw your face when Mukti brought up the topic of the bracelet.So I wanted to do something for my beautiful babygirl and bring the heartmelting smile back on her face.So I told kabir and Abhi I wanted to do something to do something for you so kabir playfully asked me what I wanted to do?dance?Since I was running out of ideas and time,I said yes and told them they will dance too. though they didn't agree at first but after alot of bribing and blackmailing they finally agreed.So we went to this shop and brought these things.How do you walk in those circle?Then some wigs.Then let me tell you a secret,Abhi did our makeup."

"Really?how?"I asked laughing.I might ask him about what he blackmailed them later.

"He said he had some cousins who would always try makeup on his face."Manik shrugged and I laughed.No doubt Abhi had some serious experience with makeup, that's why these three were in so good form and they even had eyelashes.

"Nandini there's something serious I've been trying to discuss with you for a long time now."Oh my God!what it could be?did he finally realized that he's way better than me and I don't deserve him?Is he going to leave me now?I always doubted what relationship do we actually share?I knew I had to face this someday then why am I not prepared for this?I took a deep breath and nodded not trusting my voice, to Manik to tell him to continue.

"You alright?"He asked with concern and once again I just nodded.

"So I want you to stop swearing.Trust me it's a bad thing and you won't believe this but I'm really working on it.I'll try and stop swearing too but first you stop it before you get used to it."I looked at him adoringly.Thank God he wasn't leaving me.Yet.And he was thinking to leave one of his bad habit for me.How do I stop myself from falling in love with this man?

"Don't worry I mostly swear just around you so that you can know how bad it sounds but if you say you will stop then I'll stop too."

"Okay let's watch the movie,he said tightening his hold on me.

That night Manik slept in my room on my couch even though I told him to take the bed and to tease him I told that I would behave myself.But he didn't listen to me.Doesn't he trust me?huh! whatever.

I woke up at night and went to bathroom.For a moment,I forgot that I wasn't alone and Manik was here but when I saw him sleeping on my couch.I fell in love with him all over again.How could he look so innocent and cute like a baby?

I sat on my knees in front of his face and folded my hands on the couch below my chin and stared at him.Damn!I want to kiss him.Infact I leaned into him when Manik stirred in his sleep making me jump to my feet.I quickly switched off the lamp beside him.I laid on the bed and thought about what Navya said.Now I know how it feels when walking temptation is around you in your house and you can't do anything.Poor Navya and poor me!I sighed and closed my eyes to sleep.How I wish for once Manik stops being gentleman and kiss me!I giggled thinking about it and slept.

I'm so sorry guys but I have fever now and my mom(like almost every Indian mom) thinks that the cause of my ill health is my phone.So she won't let me touch my phone for a while now.I'll try posting from laptop but can't promise so till then be patient.Sorry.❤️
