Chapter 48

MANIK'S POV

           I called kabir who was at Navya's place and told him to come to Nandini's house along with Navya and also told worried Navya that Nandini was fine and was at home.I didn't told him much details,I just told him that she was at home and her Chacha was out of town and she was upset about it.I just hope Nandini don't mind that I invited them here.After calling Kabir,I debated whether or not to call Abhi.It's been long time since we were together.But then he had alot of things to do between wedding and going abroad.

   I debated for awhile then thought just asking him wouldn't harm so I called him anyway and to my surprise he agreed to come down Mukti was also with him so they both were coming now.

Everyone was ready,now I just need to do few more arrangements before my babygirl wakes up.I did the thing which came first in my mind,If there is anything that can make her happy then after me (of course)is Hyderabadi biryani.She's crazy about it.She don't eat much but when she sees biryani,her capacity changes and she seems so happy just to see the damn food.I smile to myself thinking about the argument we had on how they don't do justice to Hyderabadi biryani in Mumbai and It is not even close to the biryani they make in Hyderabad.So I ordered biryani for her from the top most restaurant.And cancelled the previous order of Chinese food.Now I have to do few more arrangements and then I'll surprise my babygirl.

After few minutes the door bell rang and I was approaching towards the door with all confidence and then I realized this isn't my home to receive guests.I chuckled but anyway went to open the door since my babygirl is asleep.I saw through peephole just to make sure it isn't Nandini's any relatives or family members but when I saw  Kabir was here with Navya,I opened the door and welcomed them.

Navya went past me without uttering a word and halfway through hall she turned around to look at me with puzzled face.I was confused but motioned towards Nandini's bedroom and she made eye contact with kabir and ran towards bedroom.I turned to look at kabir and then I noticed his face was flushed.He knew I was looking at him but still he didn't look at me.He was looking everywhere else but me.

I locked the door behind me and both kabir and I sat on the sofa.

"What?"I asked him when he didn't said anything.

"Umm we .."

"We what?"

"When you called me and told about Nandini,Navya was very worried.We quickly sat in car but she just wouldn't shut up and she kinda looked ..."he didn't complete the sentence.

"Cute?"

"Whatever so yeah she looked that and also annoying.She was annoyingly cute and I wanted her to shut up so I kissed her."

"Really?Like a peck I guess?" I was finding this whole thing really funny.Even though I knew what he was trying to say I wanted him to say it out loud because I was enjoying that embarrassing face of him too much.

"Umm.nope.It was full heated kiss for whole five minutes."he said and with each word his face was bending down and down.Well that was shocker,I never expected him to be shy.

"That's the reason she was so quite?"

"Yeah and she didn't spoke a word since then I guess I kissed her voice out of her."he said and we both burst into laughter.

"But seriously kabir!what is this?what do you think about her?do you feel anything for her?"I asked and he just sighed.

"I'll talk to her about this after dropping her home today."

"Hmm.Good.If there's nothing you feel for her you better leave her now kabir.I don't want anyone of you to be hurt."

"Yup"

NANDINI'S POV

I woke up from my sleep and stared at my ceiling for long.I remember all the things I told to Manik.I don't know what he thinks about me.He must think I'm so weak.I started to feel guilty about it now but then it feels so good to let it all out.I sigh and get up from my bed.After freshing up I come back to my room to see Navya sleeping on my couch.When did this happen?

I went close to confirm I'm not hallucinating.

"Navya?"

"Nandini"she said and hugged me.Indeed she's real.

"How are you Nandu?Why are your eyes red?"

"I'll tell you but how did you came here?"

"Manik called us"

"Us?"

"I'll tell you that later first you tell me?"

"Okay"that was all I said.I don't know how much of things Manik said her but I don't want to hide anything from Navya so I told her everything.I had no energy left in me to cry anymore but whe I told her,Navya did cry.She was upset that I didn't told her first that all these things were bothering me.But again she Navya,she can't stay mad at me for long.We hugged eachother and stayed that way for awhile.

"So?how are you? How's your leg?"

"I'm fine now.Kabir made sure I take enough rest."She said and blushed.

"Really?tell me about it."I said and smiled wide.And she told me how kabir would not let her do anything and he even did her bed and tucked her to sleep two times.Navya was so excited while telling everything that I couldn't help but notice how much she has started to fall for him.Then she told me about her kiss.

"Are you serious? what did you do?"

"I did the only thing that seemed logical."

"And what's that?"

"I kissed him back."Navya said in all seriousness.

"What?"I asked and started laughing.

"Yes.Come on dammit he needs to stop being so cute and caring.He looks after me and then he's so close to me and my feelings for him doesn't make things easier and then he kissed me? I'm no saint.I couldn't control myself that time and I knew he would regret this later so that was my first and last kiss,so I kissed him back."

"Who told you he regrets that?"I asked angrily.

"I don't know.I think he regrets that."Navya whispered lowly.

"Shut up Navya.You shouldn't jump to conclusions.You better go talk to him about this."

"Okay I'll try."then we both heard the door open.It was Mukti.She came to me and hugged me and Navya tight.

"Why didn't you came down Manik's waiting for you."I nodded my head and both Navya held Mukti for support and they both ran out of door and announced I was coming.Seriously?I chuckled at their childishness.

I came out of room and was about to get down the stairs when I saw Manik standing at the end of stairs with that gorgeous smile on his face and his arms wide open.I rushed down the stairs and straight into his arms.

My safe heaven.
