Chapter 38

NANDINI'S POV

"Everyone is going to room.You too want to go?"Manik asked coming beside me and I just nodded.I looked around and Navya was talking on phone and walking around and Mukti and Abhi were nowhere seen.I held my hand in other as if I was holding a baby. Manik put his hand behind me and it felt so natural so I didn't object plus I was in pain.Ahh.We went past kabir and when we were ahead of him I turned around and saw him giving me that "really"? expression so I just stuck out my tongue at him.Huh.No one hurts the people I like.I turned around and let Manik guide me till door.

I went to door and Manik held the door open for me.I peeked inside and saw Mukti applying some creams before sleep.I don't know what are those for.I belong to that rare species of woman who doesn't know much things about make up.I looked back at Manik and he was smiling at me and was standing very close to me.I looked at him and raised my eyebrows.

"Uh was just looking at your hand."He shrugged and said but still didn't step back.

"Well friends don't look so closely!"I said and pointed at how close he was standing.And as I didn't knew what we were I mean yeah we almost kissed and he probably has something for me but We didn't said anything so I didn't knew how to put it so I said friends to make some distance but that made me earn a growl from Manik and he caged me between wall and his body.

"I DON'T take you as a friend.I never took you just as friend and never will.I want to be more than friends with you.You get that?"He said and almost pressed himself against me so I just nodded not wanting him to get any more closer.And I tried not to blush or shiver at the words he said but I did anyway.

He smiled at me and stepped back putting some space between us and I was glad I could breathe.

"Look there"he said raising his hand and making me look to my right and when I turned to look, it was nothing but his hand raised in air pointing nowhere.

"What?"I asked not looking back at him .

"My hand"he said and before I could laugh at his childish joke he kissed my cheek and ran.Yes he actually ran and good for him because I would have slapped him.Maybe.

I ran my hand through my cheek and giggled.Why am I giggling?I should be mad at him.I enter the room with my hand still on my cheek and all confused.I locked the door behind me and blush thinking about it.He definitely doesn't take me as friend.

"What happened?"Mukti asked me but I can't tell her.

"You tell me!"I say quickly to change the topic and that works.She blushed deep red and I jump on bed and sit beside her to hear what happened and just then Navya joins and we both insist her to tell everything.After we talked and laughed.My mind again went to Manik and I slept dreaming about him.Actually I didn't dream about him,he came in my dreams.

The next day we ate breakfast in zombie mode.No one slept well last night because of the heavy rain and thunder.When Manik joined us for breakfast,he looked at me and gave this mischievous smirk of his,I rolled my eyes at him but couldn't control the smile forming on my lips.After breakfast,Navya and I packed our bags and slept.So that's how half our day went by.We all did our lunch in our rooms and boys took our luggage to car.

We were all ready to return but waiting for the rain to end.It was raining heavily and Manik said we can't drive in this weather.Since I came here I called Chacha only once and he told me not to worry about him and enjoy so I didn't call him again but now it was looking like we'll have to stay the night so I called him and told about the weather.He told me that it was raining there too.He wasn't happy about the idea of me staying the night but he had no choice so he just agreed and told me to take care of myself.

After the dinner we all gathered around fireplace and even that wasn't enough as it was too cold so we carried our blankets and sat around the fireplace. Mukti and kabir insisted Manik to sing a song.They told him yesterday too but he didn't seemed to be in mood but now he agreed and took his guitar.He leaned towards the wall and started playing guitar.

Seeing him sitting with his guitar made me self conscious.He is perfection.And someone like him wouldn't even want to be friends with me and he said he wants to be more than friend with me? Replaying the last night events in my mind my heart did monkey dance in my chest.I felt so special.I was staring at him and before starting the song Manik looked at me and winked.And when he started singing the song,I thought my heart would stop.He was singing the song most close to my heart and the way he was looking at me while singing it just made situations more worst.I guess there's no going back now and no way I can stop myself anymore from falling for this man.I love him.I'm in love with Manik Malhotra.
