Chapter 63

NANDINI'S POV

"How are you now?"Navya asked Manik .

"I'm sexy"was Manik's response.

Kabir and I didn't wanted to but still burst into laughter.

I'm obsessed with this self obsessed man.

"Manik..."we heard a voice from the door and we turned around to look who the voice belonged to.It was Manik's mom.

I had seen his mom in a lot of pictures which he showed me of her but seeing her in reality made me nervous.The way she carried herself was somehow intimidating but Manik had told me so much about her that I am confident that she is also beautiful from inside.But apart from being intimidated by her the main thing that bothered me was this is first time I'm meeting her and this is how she'll see me?I've been crying for an hour now ..I don't even know how bad I'm looking right now.Although I don't know as how Manik will  introduce me to his parents.I shouldn't expect much but unfortunately I am .....  All these things were going on in mind when Manik's parents came in and sat beside him opposite to me.They both held Manik's hand and the way his mother looked at him with both anger and worry reminded me that I don't have....just then I realised that Manik's Mom was holding his hand in which IV was given and even if she pressed slightly it will hurt him.So me being the stupid me...I didn't think twice and  snatched Manik's hand away from his mom's and started to gently brush his hand.Before I could ask Manik if he was alright? I heard Manik's mom's voice.

"Excuse me?"

Oh oh!I think I'm in trouble.

MANIK'S POV

I had this strange happy feeling where I was glad to see the two out three important women of my life together.If Mukti would've been here the frame was complete.Although I didn't knew the reason why I fainted..I must admit it was quite a break from all the wedding preparation and more than that I was glad I could introduce My Babygirl to My Mom before Mukti's marriage.I wanted my mom to treat My Babygirl the way she deserves to be treated.

But before I could introduce both..my babygirl introduced herself infront of my mom in a way that might not be considered as good.She snatched my hand away from hers.I would've laughed at her but the situation didn't allow me.I  knew the reason why she did that by the way she gently nursed my hand later but I doubt if my mom will notice that little gesture.

"Excuse me?"my mom asked her and by the way her big eyes grew bigger I knew without any doubt that now is when she realised what she did.

"Umm.. I'm sorry..I.. that.. Manik's hand.."

"Mom I had IV here.So she didn't wanted me to get hurt.By the way she's Nandini.My Girlfriend."I quickly interjected to avoid further misunderstandings and announced proudly but by the look on my mom's face I knew the damage was already done.She isn't a woman to hold grudges but I  am her only son and wasn't in a situation like this before so I don't know what her reaction would be if someone tries to snatch away her son.Literally.Shit I'm going to laugh now.

"So you're Nandini"My dad said extending his hand towards Nandini but his eyes trained on me knowingly.I blushed and turned my eyes away from him thinking about the day I said to him about my babygirl.Mom looked between dad and me and asked...no.. more like bursted.

"You knew about her?"she asked pointing at my babygirl like she was some thing which I didn't like a bit.I turned to look at my babygirl and as expected she was hurt.

"Ofcourse..I had the privilege to know about the important ladies in my son's life."he said handling the situation and hugging my mom and she blushed.I love the way they both are still in love with eachother.One can say I adore them.

"And his choice is good I must admit."he said looking at Nandini and winking at her.My babygirl to turned towards me round eyed with a big  blush and smile on her face.

I took her hand and squeezed to tell her not to worry.

Kabir then introduced Navya as his friend and clearly Navya's face was sad but she covered her expressions quickly.That girl is in some serious trouble.I pity her.

The doctor came for checkup and after a few questions he said that I was just dehydrated.For which I got accused looks from both my mom and Nandini. After talking for awhile with doctor and kabir, dad decided to leave.

"Let's go now.He's grown up and can take care of himself."My dad said looking at me and placing his hand on my head.

"Take care"my mom said placing her hand on my face.

"I won't but Nandini will."I said again taking my babygirl's name just so that mom knows how much she matters to me.Mom just looked at her for a second and nodded before going out.

That's when my babygirl breathed.

"I'm sorry for being stupid Manik."she said as soon as my parents left and this time I couldn't control my laugh.

"You plan to snatch me away from everyone?"I asked teasing her making her blush.

"It's ok.My mom will be fine."I said assuring her.

"Ok then we'll also leave."kabir said and Navya just nodded.

Once we were left alone...I asked my babygirl what I've been wanting to ask her whole afternoon.

"So..."I said pulling her from chair to bed and beside me.

"When do you plan to move in?"
