Chapter 30

NANDINI'S POV

           I looked at my reflection in mirror and smiled.I was feeling fresh.I saw the time and it was 6:30.I slowly opened the door and before closing it once looked at Navya and Mukti.These were the people who wanted to wake up early.I smiled and closed the door behind me.I always wanted to go for run in the morning but never got time or chance to go out in polluted air in city.Now that I was here in fresh air.I thought I will go for a run.

     Since I was alone I thought I won't go out but just take some rounds of swimming pool.It was big  enough so let me survive that first I thought and took a water bottle with me.I opened the sliding door which led to the pool and inhaled deeply.The farmhouse was ten times more luxurious then I thought a normal house to be.I wondered if this was their farmhouse then how their house would look.I stood in the door and inhaled deeply taking in the fresh air.What a beautiful day!I thought then someone bumped into me hard making me fall to the floor.
I looked up to see and my thoughts changed.Okay What a handsome day.I thought.It was Manik.I looked at him and couldn't control my smile.Wait.He's actually in front of me and I'm smiling like an idiot!Control Nandini.I quickly looked at myself and tried to get up.He apologized and offered me his hand.That would be too much if I took his hand.I thanked him and got up by myself.We stood there in awkward silence. Well I stood there awkwardly while Manik was smiling and looking at me so I tried to break the silence.Though I had no idea what to say.

"Good morning."I said.

"What a good morning."he said and smirked and I avoided his stare.And once again we were silent for few moments.

"You slept well?I mean why are you up so early?"he asked me and I looked him.I guess he just returned after gym or some exercise as sweat was dripping from his handsome face.

"I thought of going for a run."

"You shouldn't go out alone at this hour.Why don't you use the gym?Come let me show you."he said.Yup he didn't asked me,he said.And started walking towards the gym and I didn't fight him and started following him.I guess I'll go with the flow.Though Navya is the worst advisor in the World I take her advice anyway everytime.That's why I'm here today I thought and sighed.When Manik opened the gym we coughed because of the dust.It wasn't used and the equipments were still covered which meant they were new.

"I thought you came from gym that's the reason I agreed to come here.You really didn't had to open it just for me."I said looking at him as he was dusting the treadmill.

"You notice alot.Don't you?"he asked and I wanted to punch myself.Nope,First I'll punch him then I'll punch myself.I didn't said anything.

"I wasn't here I was practicing football and now I'll use the gym."

            The gym was very spacious.I had never been to a gym before but I was sure gyms were not usually this big.And who has gym at farmhouse?Maybe because Manik was very concerned about his physique like any other sports person.Then there were lot of things I didn't knew how to use except for the treadmill,dumbbell and other things which I knew but couldn't spell.I was lost looking around and my back bumped into his back.I turned and I quickly apologized.

"It's ok.I was just setting the speed for this.You may use it now if you want."

"I don't want to."I said looking at treadmill which had started moving. I thought I  shouldn't be doing  something which requires focus while Manik is around.It's next to impossible.I'll probably keep looking at him and fall and embarrass myself.

"Why?"

"I don't feel like.I'm sorry."I said as I thought I should've said that before he was setting it up.

"You don't have to be.You can do whatever you like."he said a little confused.

"I know"I said and there we were,again in an awkward silence.

"Why are we talking like we don't know how to talk?"he asked breaking the silence.For which I was really thankful otherwise I could've spent the entire day standing in front of him and looking at the floor.I had already found the floor very interesting as I started making design in the marble out of my mind.

"Umm..I don't know"I said looking up at him.His eyes are beautiful.Shut up!Focus! He's saying something.But it was too late he already started walking out.Did he said me to get out?or he said he didn't want to spend his morning with boring person like me?I didn't heard him.

I followed him out and he gestured me walk in front of him which meant he didn't said any of my assumed things.Thank God.

MANIK'S POV

        She said she wanted to run and then apologized for changing her mind?I mean who has that much manners?Three years back, I kissed this girl whom kabir called his 'girlfriend' to prove him that she wasn't loyal to him.And kabir almost killed me that night.He didn't apologized to me for that till now!F**k!I might just go and punch a sorry from both of that b**t**ds sleeping in my room now.Yup.Again.I'm starting to doubt if they are straight?Why do they want to be in my room always?  I was so shocked by her manners.I mean stop girl! I'm already more than impressed by you.

I told her I would give her a tour of the house if she was free,when she didn't reply I took it as yes and started walking out of the gym.When we reached the door,I told her to walk in front of me but the moment she started walking in front of me,I regretted my decision.The view I was getting was .... nevermind.(This isn't adult audience right?😌😂)I took two long strides and came beside her.

We already had been to gym and she must have seen the house already so I took her to garage and showed her my car.Though we came in another car I had told mom's driver to get my darling here.My darling red Ferrari.It was my gift from my parents at 16 and when they gifted me this as an encouragement to clear my 11th and I actually cleared the exam with good marks.And after that I considered it as my lucky charm.I smiled now thinking about it.

"This seem to be your favorite car"Nandini said looking at me.And I turned and leaned my back against my car and look at her.

"Yup."I said and smiled again.

"Gift?"

"At 16."

"Very well maintained!I mean it doesn't look like it was bought 10 years ago."she said and I frowned.

"I'm not 26!"I said defensively and she tried to hide her smile and raised her eyebrows at me and nodded as if she didn't knew this before.Damn her!
